Title: The 768 Club
Post by: Gantry on 04/28/18, 09:24:43 AM
For some reason, 768 power is a very common number for the weaker players.  My half assed guess is that it's a very "clean" number in hexadecimal, which is often how you reference values when coding in assembler.  It's 300 in hex, a nice round number.

For my money it's Jose Cruz, though I'm not sure if that's the right answer.  I keep him in and he does something every once in awhile for me.  That could also be skewed because he gets the most bat time for any of the players above, giving him more chances to produce.

What say you fine people of the Dee-Nee.com community?  Who produced the best this fantasy RBI season?

Cruz also has speed and plays for Houston, two things that increase his value.

But Dykstra is even faster and has a lower contact, though not by much.

Funny how your perceptions change things.  If I didn't have the numbers in front of me, I would swear that Cruz is more powerful than Dykstra.

My initial thought was Dykstra, then I saw Puhl and I know I have had quite a bit of success with him.  I think mas experience is distorted because most of his ABs come with the PH bonus.

Dykstra is the best by the numbers (and I used him quite a bit because I use to be the NL when my buddy and I would play All-Star games, and I loved having a speed guy off the bench), so he got my vote, but Tempo makes a very good point here.

The NL Mets are Beefy's favorite baseball squadron.

Also Kruk isn't even that fast so maybe I was thinking about Gwynn's stats?  Should probably delete my account now and go walk slowly into the river.

Gwynn's power is fkn brutal, he's one of the weakest players in the game.

Not a good stretch for Beef, here.

I voted Cruz. Strassy is right.
