Poll
Question:
Should trades be allowed? (please only vote if you are in the league this season)
Option 1: Yes
votes: 5
Option 2: No
votes: 2
First order of business is to decide whether or not we are allowing trades. Ryno wants them, as does Darkside (I assume). Others have voiced opposition. Vote and be heard!
How many of my fake accounts are allowed to vote?

How many of my fake accounts are allowed to vote?
All of them, if they are in the league
What number do you plan on setting the errors to?
Please turn off the music with "runners on base" and "bases empty".
I support keeping all music on.
I think a good idea for the next draft for where owners choose is to have a drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and so on.
I still think it some serious ass bs that I picked next to last the previous season and dead last this season. That last place positioning pretty much took all the fun and motivation out for me for the draft and for this season. If we go back so FRBI season VI where Beef and TBG won it all against Turd, I also picked next to last that season. So three drafts in a row where I don't have a shot to pick in the top 4-5.
This year:
1. Ryno
2. Stu
3. Shooty
4. Fighton
5. Nacho
6. Beefmaster
7. Nomaaa
8. GDavis
9. TempoGL
10. Darkside
Last year:
Tempo
GDavis/TBG/Beefmaster
nomaaa
Nacho
Shooty
fknmclane
Darkside
Reds
Tempo's debut season, he picks first last year. Ryno and Stu, who both didn't participate last year, magically get the top two picks. I don't know, just look at the draft order in the past two drafts and you can see variations in the draft order except for me picking from the bottom of the order while Nacho and Shooty have been in the middle leaning top of the draft. Sour grapes, yeah. But fuck, we need a better system for the draft then just giving newbies high draft picks and sticking me at the bottom. If there is no way to post the draft lottery selection live, then use the NFL's reverse order system. Or at least go reverse order in the middle of the draft so the bottom round draft picks can even out the disadvantage of drafting lower. Either way, this drafting method we have been using is madness and stupid.
we'll do auction format next season
Darky, if it makes you feel better, I totally fucked up my draft and have plans to trade Dawson.
As with any serpentine draft, the first and last picks have their disadvantages.
one thing i'll say about draft slots is that most of these drafts have been pretty similar. picking near the bottom forces your hand to try to shake up the draft and make selections that center more around position scarcity etc
If anyone is interested in trading, shoot me an offer.
My team:
1B McGwire
2B Doran
SS Thon
3B Mitchell
OF Brunansky
OF Burks
OF DwEvans
Boggs
Galarraga
Owen
Oquendo
Scott
Alexander
Orosco
Reardon
Looks like you should trade for a catcher
Oh yeah. I have Pena too.
Do you?
Now I'm not so sure.
I fucking knew it
Breaking news out of Bumfuck Arkansas. Sources indicate that, during batting practice, Andre Dawson was told by an unnamed weasel that he's been included in multiple trade offers. Dawson yelled a series of confusing and misworded curse word filled tirades at the GM then threw 17 bats on to the field.
Stu and I just played two games on the EverDrive (High Fives vs. Geo Metros)
Both games went 17 innings
I won game one, 4-2. I had a two run lead going into the bottom of the ninth, but fucking Schiraldi blew it. Ended up winning on a walk-off Chet Lemon homer. He had three homers over the two games.
Game two went to Stu, 6-5. Worrell pitched six innings of relief, giving up only one run. The game was tied 3-3 after nine, then tied 5-5 in the 14th after Witt got wild and let one slip to Jim Rice. Witt had to stay in because the bullpen was depleted. He gamed it out for a few more innings, before completely running out of gas and giving up a dinger to Will Clark with one out in the bottom of the 17th.
