Anyone remember the editor that tecmoturd posted in 2010? (https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=25021.0) Well I tried to use it and it failed. :( However using this handy patch applier/creater (https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/) I was able to create a patch to fix the issues from the editor.
To use this patch first edit a rom with turd's editor. Then go to https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/ (https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/) and put in your edited rom and the .ips patch in the appropriate places. (Make sure creator mode is off)
Let me know if you have any questions.
Note: I still need to test this with more editing of the rom. Please let me know if you have tested the editor or patch in any way.
The editor and patch is attached below.
Enjoy! (All credit goes to turd (https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1344) for the editor and rom. I just helped fix it)

RBI30 Editor Beta 2.zip
This is very awesome. Thanks, dwight!
Agreed, great stuff. Good to see some activity in the actual RBI community since that's what these forums are supposedly about.

Thanks for the kind words! I hope that more people can start editing RBI roms.
Please let me know if you've tested this in any way so I can confirm the patch is working. Thanks!
This is doubly good too because I think at some point nightwulf's online editor is going to go away. The old dee-nee server really needs to be shut down and I doubt wulfie wants to make it work on a new system. Keeping it up short term but it really is a ticking time bomb to get hacked.
Yeah I think that if people want to edit RBI (which I don't think is as popular as tecmo super bowl) they would want to edit a 30-team rom. However, nightwulf's is an excellent browser-based editor and extremely east to use. I don't want it to go away!
using these editors for our online league. I used nightwulf one though because i wasn't sure on the pitcher ratings for sink, curve and fastball giving them original stats in the 30 team editor. is there a rating notch table for the speed ratings? example clemens is 166, 186, and 210 for speeds on sink, curve, fast. how would you translate that into the mph chart on the 30 man roster to be as accurate to the original as possible? i have the rbi extras rom with original teams that i'm looking at as well. i hope this question makes sense...
Are you asking for the formula that converts Clemens 210 to a max mph? If so I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure Berenguer has the highest fastball at 103 - maybe you can figure out from him and go backwards.

Yeah - Berenguer's fastball tops out at 103 with a 216 fastball speed rating, and Nolan's is right behind him at 213 although I can't recall what the gun reads for him.
I want to say Clemens and Ryan can get to 102, but not 103. Not positive on that though...
There's numerous ratings that are similar in the mph drop down menu. Wondering if they are notches like the tsb ratings and editors are like. Again just trying to make an accurate 30 man using og roster ratings easily.
I don't know a lot about the editor itself. If anyone could get a hold of tecmoturd, I'm sure he would be able to help.
What was wrong with the editor?
I've been putting out annual updates since 2015 and the only thing I noticed was swapping the 2nd and 3rd digits in batting averages when you first load the ROM if the second digit was zero (ex: .307 becomes .370). Is there a bug that's been hiding out since 2015 that I never noticed and is eating my ROMs from the inside-out?

What version of windows do you use? (The current issue with the editor is that it changes a few bytes at the beginning of the rom when it is exported out of the editor, leading to the rom not opening in an emulator. Not sure what causes this but my patch should fix it as long as you fill in the dirt paths using the editor.)
You may also have a working version ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The 2023 RBI I made was on Windows 10. Haven't tried on 11. The version I've been using is Beta 1.5.

Ah! The version with the problem is Beta 2.0. If you could post your Beta 1.5 exe file, that would be amazing! I also remember the editor working on windows 10 but not sure about windows 11...
We've had issues with the edited roms in our league. When going for a steal to second base will sometimes cause the game to completely reset.

Interesting. Do you think it could be a problem with the emulator?
I wouldn't think so. We use this for every nes online league. Didnt have the problem with 10 man rom

Hey Baron, we are having a few issues in the rbi baseball league with the editor and I was hoping that you could send us your copy of the 30 team editor beta 1.5 exe. This would be very much appreciated! Thanks!!
