We've been using the Nightwulf site for our Draft league and now the site is down. RBI manager doesn't work on newer PC. the 30 team editor I've never gotten a good answer on how to make pitchers as acurate as possbile to OG in the 30 team rom..
That is running on the "old" server and was long overdue to be retired. I tried to get it working on the new one with no luck, I don't know Perl programming so it was beyond my abilities.
Last week my main workstation (which runs Dee-Nee as a VM) died, since I'm not home I had to move the site/forums to the machine the editor was running on. Only way to get it going was to take down the old site, so it's indefinitely down.
I honestly had no idea people were using it regularly, that said unless nightwulf (who barely is active anymore) wants to put in the effort to get it working it's probably not coming back.

Well for now the 30 team editor is your best option. You can also try hex editing...... If you are interested in learning I can provide a few tools and help out.
Or the wayback machine saves the day..... https://web.archive.org/web/20230826071447/http://nightwulf.rbicentral.com/rbi-editor/ (https://web.archive.org/web/20230826071447/http://nightwulf.rbicentral.com/rbi-editor/)
can't log into way back machine. it captures website pages but my heart was racing that you found a solution! I'd take any tools you can send my way for the hex editing as far as locations of stuff are etc. i have a hex editor and familiar with it

I may be able to spin that VM up but run on a different port. Will only be useful to you as the URL will change but worth a shot. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Ok here we go....
Just gonna start by saying that the following info was compiled over hours of research. I have hade to look through tons of old forums on this site to find this stuff. Not trying to brag but just a fair warning that this might be a lot.
10 team infoRBI baseball hacking - https://justpaste.it/47lhx - some random info as well as exerpts from the attached doc
RBI text editing sheet - https://justpaste.it/47p8o - will make more sense once you read tecmoturds doc (attached)
30 team infohttps://justpaste.it/bgh72 - has a lot of the attached docs stuff. I also included some random locations
Some fourms to look at:
Dee-nee fourms
30tm editor - https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=25021.0
ACP new rbi - https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=17291.0
Juiced - https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=23349.msg578575#msg578575
30tm rom- https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=23222.0
rom editor info - https://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=23252.0
Let me know if you have any questions
FYI - I also just joined the tsb discord so I can help there as well.
Well I tried for awhile today but I can't get the site to load on an alternate port - some stuff must be hardcoded to port 80. Quite frankly it's too much hassle for me and without nightwulf around to fix it'll stay in hibernation.
Looks like the 30 team editor is the new normal, wish I had a better answer
It works for me as of now!
It seems that the editor opens, and you can interact with it. However it doesn't seem to successfully load roms to edit anymore --teams & icons are blank, etc. I'm glad that there are a few other people that have taken notice of this. If I happen upon any solutions, I'll come back here & post again.
Yeah it doesnt work I guess 30 team editor is it
At least it's a good one :)
Yep, it points to the new site but won't run on it. Too much low level perl and/or SELinux stuff for me to fix
Damnit - It was time for a Heaven/Hell update. Don't want to screw with the 30 team game. Time to look for a new 10 team tool.

Anyway to run the VM locally on my machine and use the editor?
Hey Briz!
The VM is huge and it would take too long for me to strip it down and remove all the hundreds (thousands) of people's personal data off it, including my own. I'm too lazy to make that happen :(
How big? What hypervisor does it run on?
It's 60GB I think, runs on Hyper-V
Anyway to get a copy of that? I've been wanting to update the Heaven vs Hell ROM for a while, and just started playing NEW again with my daughters. Kind of fired up the RBI itch.
I'm sorry, but I wouldn't be comfortable sending it out. It has 15+ years of personal data from the forums, my two wikis, my personal stuff etc. I know you wouldn't do anything intentionally malicious with it, but that's got data/passwords/etc for me and hundreds of other people on it. It would take untold hours to remove that info and quite frankly even after I wouldn't be sure I got everything.
Ahh, okay. I didn't realize that. Reading back through I see now. If there is a way to just get the ROM editor stuff, let me know. Until then, I'll wait for an update to the editor.
Thanks
Wait, people are still using that piece of shit?
I'm flattered, it worked well enough but as Gantry notes behind the scenes its not my cleanest work. Perl is an acquired taste to begin with.
Would love to rewrite from scratch into something more modern but really don't have the time or frankly a lot of interest in starting over. Happy to answer questions and/or provide information for anyone interested in doing so. Or maybe if I become independently wealthy and suddenly find myself with a lot of free time I'd give it a go.
Will also ping Gantry, if I can bandaid the old version to keep it running happy to do so.

Is there anyway for me to run this program locally on my own computer to edit the teams and lineups? I'm thinking of finally recording/streaming the Heaven vs Hell "Not of this World Series"
I was supposed to work on getting wulfie access to the server, but forgot. Bump this shit if I don't have an update by the end of this weekend.

Yes and no, I've never been a programmer of desktop apps / executables. Well maybe some silly VB stuff when I was a teen. So this doesn't exist as a "program" one would just install and run, the web browser provides the UI, several Perl scripts provide the backend, and CGI (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Gateway_Interface) is the "glue" between them.
In theory I guess if you locally installed a web server and perl, configured CGI, used a browser to access your local web server, sure probably. But guessing that's more trouble than anyone would want to put into this, particularly CGI since I think its disabled by default and generally fallen out of favor because it can be a security vulnerability if used improperly.
outta curiousity you still have the family stadium 90 editor up. is there a converted rom with the og guys? or whats the break down of how the ratings equal out to og rbi? like power goes up to 255...

I've got VMs for days to screw with and setup to edit up a new ROM. Just let me know what I'd need to do to get it working. Wanting to tinker with some things and test. Gotta update the rosters for Heaven and Hell too. Debating on making a version of the ROM where all the dead RBIers are also buffed but still on their regular teams.

I use the site pretty religiously. I have about a hundred ROMs that I've created for all seasons of MLB ("The Heritage Collection").
I've started reverse-engineering the ROM in-case I have to free-hand update the game.

Bump
I gave nightwulf access before, not sure if he had a chance to start looking. Of course I moved the server now so I'll have to give him all new access when he's ready.
