Title: Introduction
Post by: BaronVonLector on 02/26/24, 05:47:23 PM
Hi!
You may or may not know me from TecmoBowl.org or my homepage, BaronGaming.weebly.com. I have been putting out an annual 30-team update of R.B.I. Baseball every year since 2015. I also slip in the random R.B.I. 3 into the mix. I have also put out close to a hundred 10-team "Heritage Collection" R.B.I. Baseball games. These are a game for every season (since 1871). I've also done the occasional "themed" game (Legends, Negro League, Minor Leagues, etc.).

I also have been putting out annual Ken Griffey Jr. Presents: MLB for just as long, with the random Ken Griffey's Winning Run or Super R.B.I. Baseball.

When next-get systems started cash-grabbing the R.B.I. name, I cursed them. That curse eventually came to fruition as when they cancelled the series, I gloated as being the one to outlast the... um, competition.

On a side-note, I plan to start working on Ken Griffey '24 and R.B.I. '24 just as soon as the season gets underway.

That being said, I'm surprised it took me this long to find the page. Happy to be here.

Hey, welcome aboard! I'm familiar with your 30-team ROM work; really cool stuff.

RBI chat is not super active (most of the cool discoveries were 15 years ago or more), but there's still a community here if you get some conversations going.

Great work, I have definitely downloaded a few of your ROMs, but I don't play much these days.

We took the forums off Google a decade plus ago, makes it tough to find.  Back in the "old days" of Internet oversharing, too much personal stuff was posted and coming back up on a search of one's name.

Welcome BVL!  Always great to have new blood, especially people still dedicated to keeping RBI going and modern.
