The winning bets received upgraded rookies in their drafts while the losers had the worst versions of their players. Epic game great commentary and you'd have to be a part of it to understand. Is that... you? I know Twitch user "f1dl5tyx" from the Omaha Tecmo/RBI tournament - we've played RBI against each other (he beat me for the consolation championship in 2021) but I've thankfully never drawn him in Tecmo.
