Title: Donnie Moore's curse is over
Post by: Gantry on 10/29/02, 12:25:13 AM
A little late, but the angels are World Series champs.  As luck would have it, I beat all the teams with Cali awhile back.  RBI celebrations:

you have to give it to the angels... a team made up of grinders (except for garret) who would not give up.  i went to game one and i had no idea orange county fans could get so rowdy...  the support from the fans in my opinion gave the angels a big lift...

too bad for barry...  yah right   a-hole.

and how about those kids from the daycare center the giants call a dugout...   wasnt it nice to see them crying...

i think little baker was crying cause he figured out his dad would be collecting social security before he entered kindergarten.

GO Angels!

if i didnt have to work i would be at the parade.

Fuck the Angels and fuck their stupid-ass fair weather friends.  I know I am bitter considering I was at all three giants world series home games only to see them lose due to a complete meltdown a la 86' redsox.  Then they throw that fat tub of shit Livo for game 7.  God damn I hate the guy!!!  It's been a tough couple of days.

I like the way you talk, sucka.  Are you sure you're not from Philly?--you sound like one of us.

It was Barry Bonds playing the role of Bill Buckner

VPG100...thanks for the props and luckily for me I am not from philly.  I have heard nothing but bad things about that town, so much so, that I would be ashamed to be from there.  LOL  But I'll say this, they have the best fans, unlike the bay area which has the worst fans.  And that really is the only good thing to come out of the giants losing the world series...is to have loser fans get slapped in the face and kicked in the gut.

and to the 85 royals fan, your comments about bonds couldn't have been more wrong.  Bonds didn't give up all those runs in games 6 and 7, and those bobbled balls and little imopact on the game conisdering that the runners would have scored regardless.  Oh yeah, check his stats for the series and be quiet....buckner my a$$.  Learn the game

Again, I still angry and will be for several more days

hate to kick ya when you are down but it is only going to get worse for you vpg.  first off, kent, even though he is a total ass hole, is going to walk (maybe LA), the lizard (dusty) and his offspring are going to skip town as well.  if you thought bonds was pitched around before, wait till he bats in a lineup without jeff kent.  as far as livan goes, at least he will still be around...

I had posted earlier that the angels had no chance, but they played awesome and I'm glad they finally won.

I wished I could have gone to at least one of their games, but I think I could hear the crowd from my house 3 miles away.

its tough to see kent leave espically when he plays harder then anyone else.  It'll be tough to see dusty leave as well.  I still hate the angels, their fans, and disney.  I just gave a hundred dollar  donation for the continued testing of drugs on lab monkeys.  I hate those damn things, and the rally monkey is an embarrasment

How are you going to tell me to "learn the game" sucka free?
No where have I said that Bonds gave "up all those runs in games 6 and 7", I simply stated that his slight misplay was a resemblance of Bill Buckner.  I, as a fan, am entitled to like or dislike a player, and I personally like to see Barry Bonds lose.  For being a statistician for a professional team you sure didn't  get your stats straight by putting words in my mouth.

I like the smack talk....but the bonds/buckner comparison is a stretch at best.  However, you are entitled to your opinion so i take back the "learn the game" comment.  I'm still steaming off of game 6

As any true fan is always steaming about a loss, it's understandable-I agree, my comparison of Bonds & Buckner was stretching it, but when you dislike a player, you tend to wish the worst for them, and that was the case with me.

Forgot about hating Bonds - I hate the damn rally monkey.  I don't know how you guys can make fun of poor lil' Baker (Derek, or something, I forget his name) when I would have much rather seen that stupid ass kid who runs around all the Angels game in a monkey suit bawling his annoying little eyes out.  That would be sweet.

For everyone that dislikes Barry Bonds--

there is a funny little comic on the jock striphttp://www.thejockstrip.net (http://www.thejockstrip.net)

For everyone else--

you'll probably be offended, especially those who dislike the rally monkey

No worries....its been a tough week so far.  Numerous e-mails from my dodger counterparts have been brutal.  BUt as hogan used to say "more fuel for the fire".  Luckily I'm not married though, because my wife would have gotten the beating of her life.  You philly fans must know what I'm talking about.

The rally monkey?  What about the thundersticks?  I hate those fucking things.  If I were Reggie Sanders when the fans were hitting him, I would've tore some heads off.

you giants backers are just bitter cause you choked...  if i remember correctly, you guys had the stupid noise makers too...your fans just didnt get into the game like the yayhoos here in OC.

at least it looks like dusty isnt going anywhere...
and jeff kent is still a major dickweed.

Back as late as July, I heard rumors floating around that Dusty was going to coach the Cubs.  Now that the mets and devil rays have their coaches, and that seattle won't pay that much for a coach, its looking like Dusty is defintily going to chi-town.  There is a lot of bad blood between dusty and Magowan/sabean.  If I was a betting man, bet that the cubs will get dusty!

Giant fan is still very bitter but at least we can watch the 49ers break the backs of those cross town criminals they call the raiders, or should I say the Grayders.  Fucking hate that team.  And Gwynn, your right about the giants fans, worst in professional sports.  Every since we moved from candle stick we have lost our edge.  Once kent, dusty, bell, and sanders leave you'll see an 82 loss year, which will drive out the wine & cheese fans and bring back the candle stick drunks

by the way, LA sucks my ass

you nocals hate us cause we take your water...

as far as pac bell park goes,  great stadium except that the fans who can afford tickets are to posh to support their team.

i hate the raiders too and their 70's jumpsuit, grandmother owner.   Go 9ers.

i was just in frisco for my honeymoon and i must say it is a great city.     escpecially liked alcatraz

I agree, the thundersticks are very gay. The monkey is kind of funny, though.

Sadly, many an Angel fan have probably done this on more than one occasion.
