Title: NEW ROM (HOUSTON MODIFIED)
Post by: GreatScott on 09/24/04, 12:21:08 AM
What if Houston didnt suck.  There is a reason Houston won their division in 1986 ... they were actually good.  So im revising the original RBI rom to make Houston the team it should have been.  Im using power revisions that will reflect what other players with similar stats are like.  So Denny Walling will kinda be like Keith Hernandez except he wont do a lot of cocaine.  And Kevin Bass will sorta be a poor mans Jim Rice.  Should be interesting.  Im also dumping the American and National (nobody uses those fuckers) and replacing them with the 86 Yanks and 87 Royals.  Enjoy

Here are the only changes from the original.  I didnt bother to change the contact ratings

Cruz 768 to 808
Walling 750 to 840
Davis 867 to 897
Bass 780 868

No matter what you do, Houston still sucks. Even if you upped all of their speed ratings to 146 and power ratings to 1100, they would still suck. Why? Because they are Houston, and this is RBI Baseball, and they suck. Even with re-engineering, you can't make someone something that they aren't.
