Title: RBI teams revisited
Post by: TβG on 10/04/04, 10:52:36 AM
wouldnt it be great if the tigers and SF made the playoffs next year?  then we could almost have a repeat of RBI years.  i wonder if this year is the closest we've come to an rbi repeat with teams in the playoffs, wildcards included.  and dang, SF was close to making it.... one game away.  and one more note, the angels beat oakland with mark mclemore playing for oak and he was on the angels roster in 86.  the big cat may have played in his last game sunday, but not before he homered on friday to (possibly) end his career with 399, i heard murphy also ended with 399.  go angels!   potatoes guerrero for MVP.

Murphy finished with 398.  Poor Al Kaline is the other one with 399.
