I think this would have to rank as the first major upset of the season...(More details to come later - I'm going to lunch and I'm leaving work early, so we'll see when it all gets up there...

Wally Joyner and Bob Brenley (?!?) each had two homers for The Stiffs, who were helped greatly by Bobby Ojeda's junkball stuff. Geena Davis was 4 for 5 with a home run for the BeefMasters. Jose Canseco and Blank Morris (double ?!?) also homered for The Stiffs.
I'm not sure how big an upset this is, in all the games I've simulated against the Stiffs, they've all been close, and maybe were about .500. Ojeda seems to be difficult to hit for some reason, long shot for Cy Young. Maybe I'll have a look at his Unknowns.
5 freaking runs in a 9-inning game?! My team has Reggie Jackson! And Don Baylor! I may have to fire my manager.
I think the most GMs would fire the hitting coach. To early to blame the manager.
are these games simulated or do you guys play them? sounds like there simulated, in which case I definitly would have been in, lacking the time play of course.
Yes, simulated.
I think GreatScott actually has a pretty good team, despite the autodraft fiasco
Details for the game to follow (sorry for the delay, but I was out of town this weekend)...

I find it weird that my team drew 4 walks. Had anyone walked at all yet in the league? THe computer doesn't like to throw balls on 3-ball counts.

While it is unusual for the CPU to issue walks, when guys are tired strange things happen. For example the pitcher may be attempting a curve pitch that is supposed curve into the strike zone, but the don't have enough in their arm to bring the pitch over the plate, so it's a ball.
I have seen the CPU throw 4 pitch walks even when fresh, it is almost as though the CPU will throw intentional walks in some situations.
Lets go Stiffs.
