Very true, but that year he led the league in Batting Average, Hits, Total Bases...2nd in RBI and 3rd in Slugging.
Also, I think something that had to do with it was Atlanta SUCKED for a long time before 91. This was the first year of their dominating young pitching staff as well, sans maddux.
A stocky, switch-hitting third baseman.... i love it.

Well, it's going to be an even longer time 'til these stats are league-leading.
