aka the Japanese version of RBI...

Did you lose that game Gantry? Or did you get that pic from elsewhere?

I lost... The CPU is a little tougher and I didn't know who the players were, making pinch-hitting a total crapshoot. Wasn't really trying too hard though....
I have noticed also that the computer in the Family Baseball rom is slightly more difficult. Especially the pitching. The comp. throws some late moving junk to the plate.
But, Gantry, come on. I haven't come close to losing and I play using the keyboard instead of a joystick. You got three-hit.
I've also noticed that in general the players are faster in the Japanese version. Perhaps eating tofu instead of 'roids has something to do with that. The smaller Japanese players don't have to carry around all that extra weight.
I agree with Big Hath. Family Stadium seems to be a much more difficult game than R.B.I. Baseball. The crazy pitching along with the increased baserunners' speed provide for much better competition than that found against the computer in R.B.I.
The tofu is obviously the winning combination. Maybe the MLB players should start taking tofu instead of steroids. The Family Stadium players hooked on tofu should be our players' role models.

I think that I've still got my complete famicom copy of this game lying around somewhere in my mom's house....anybody got a famicom/NES converter, maybe we could get some Family Stadium going?
Family Stadium is definitely more difficult than RBI in terms of CPU. I'll play another game and beat the CPU to redeem myself. I really wasn't trying that hard, honest...
I'll take a dozen or so screen shots and make an image gallery out of it...
