Title: Fantasy League All-Star ballot
Post by: fightonusc on 11/08/04, 01:45:13 PM
OK, here's the Official Ballot for the Fantasy League All-Star Game, to be played at Tengen Stadium after the Week 7 games. A few of the rules:

- Voting is open to anyone, managers or fans.
- One ballot per person. If you put in a ballot, and then change your mind, your first ballot will be thrown out.
- All votes must be sent to me via IM.
- Randy Bush can not be voted for, not even as a write-in. No fucking way am I counting a ballot that's for Bush.
- You will vote for three OFs, four IFs, one C and four Ps. You may write in a candidate if you choose to.
- Pitchers can be starters or relievers.
- There will be an AL and an NL team based on the teams the players came from. You must vote for both an AL and an NL roster.
- The top vote-getters at their respective positions make up the starting line-ups. The commissioner's office will choose bench players.

And very importantly...

- Balloting beings after the completion of this week (Week 5) games and is open until the end of next week (Week 6) games. Please do not send ballots in until this week's games are complete!

I think having this in the middle of the message might be bad, though putting it in bold was good.

Bump, because balloting is officially open. Ballots can be submitted to me via IM starting today through next Friday (11/19). Results will be announced during a special edition of Baseball Tonight. I encourage as many people as possible to vote. The most recent stats have just been posted, along with league leaders, standings, etc.

I've been tallying up the early votes, and it looks like there might be at least fairly big suprise in the AL starters, unless some last minute votes come in.

It will be interesting to see if the NL pitching staff can overcome the better hitting AL squad. In retrospect, I perhaps should have had one team of All-Stars from our league go against either Team Suck or Team Blow (the two teams of players not on a roster). It could have been like "Major Leagues 3: Back to the Minors". Or "Mystery, Alaska". But, live and learn...

Anyway, a reminder that balloting closes tomorrow at noon Pacific. If you are a manager, or a fan of the league, your ballot definitely will make a difference.
