Ive been messing around with imbNES 1.3, trying to get RBI to work on my PS2. Not having much luck. I know it also works on PS1 with a mod chip, but should also work on earlier versions of PS2 as well. When the burnt disc trys to load it brings up a screen that says "insert format disc". Maybe I need to drop $20 on an old PS1.
Anybody tried this? Any help/info appreciated.
I could be wrong, but doesn't the PS2 need to be modded as well?
From what I read it has to be a PS2 that can play PS1 games as well. Mine plays all the old games just fine.
This would be too cool if I can get it to work.
From the FAQ:
"For PS2 you need a modchip or bootcd that allows playing PSX cds, one that just runs PS2 games won't work."
Not very clear... Is your PS2 modded to play PS1 games or is it stock? Sounds like the PS2 need to be modded, if it can already play PS1 games, does it need to be?
You wouldnt think. I think my best bet might be picking up a modded PS1.
Uh, yeah, you'll need a mod chip to run burnt PSX material on a PS2. There may be some bootloader trick with a Game Shark or something, but I've been out of that scene for years.

Bump for a person who emailed me today, some may save me some googling:
"Thanks for the info. Where could I have a mod chip installed and about how
much might it cost?"
