Who is the best of the best on Boston? Jim Rice is the same I hear most, yet Baylor and Burks havs the power and speed. Armas has the raw power....
For one at-bat, I'd take Armas.
What about Sullivan?
the clear choice is baylor...speed and power and he's usually up with runners on base...can't beat it
well i would of picked spike owen, but since hes not on the list, i guess i have to go with Tony Armas Sr.
It was a toss up between Rice and Armas. Both kill me and I absolutely hate pitching to them. Went with Armas in the end...

armas is better than rice only for his first ab... then its downhill from there... rice isn't nicknamed RBI on accident.
Armas is awesome every at bat. He has 43 homers. Why would you want anyone else up to bat?
I'm surprised nobody has voted for Burks, there used to be some big fans...
Boston doesn't have any decent lefties, and I would give Jim Rice my vote as best right handed hitter in the game. The guy rarely gets out. He hammers the ball. He produces in every game and in most at bats.
C'mon now guys. Think about it.
We have a Burks sighting... Now do we have any Gedman fans out there? Then again, even if you are the world's biggest Gedman fan, you have to concede that he's not the best on the team...
I remember that when I was a kid, I always thought that Dwight Evans was the best. It was probably one of those freakish things where I just happened to play well with him at the time, because I can't hit anything with him now!
Since we have been keeping HR stats for our title games, Jim Rice has dominated, he is leading in HR's with 13. Although I have Kirk Gibson ranked 1st on my rankings page, Rice might be the best hitter on the game.
In the Atari it's all about Kingman leading with 12.

It's very close between Baylor and Armas for me, but I give Baylor the edge because of speed.
Bump
def. gotta go with Craig Grbek. He's the man. Benny Agbayani rules too. He's got the fattest ass on the planet. After Gantry's of course.
If you're going for strictly power, it's Armas, no question. Otherwise Rice and Baylor are pretty even but I'd have to tip my hat to Baylor because he's faster.
Rice is better than Baylor. ok, so baylor is a little faster, when its a homerun, it doesnt matter. Rice gets minimum 3-4 homeruns a game (9 innings). Baylor gets maximum 2. Hes too busy being fat and getting hit by pitches and getting fired by the cubs that he doesnt hit as many homeruns. Even Dw. Evans gets as many homeruns as him. Baylor is overrated, period.
Minimum 3-4 home runs? I hope you're playing straight pitch. In the curve game i vote for baylor, because you can never count on the long ball in curve. Most of the big power hitters end up grounding into lots of double plays in curve.
im talking against the comp. when its against other people (depending on their skill) its a little lower, but rice still is better than baylor. baylor flies out and double plays too much
The best HITTER is Rice, best overall player is probably Baylor....but the poll specifically says HITTER so my choice is Jim.
