hey everybody
This site is great. We have a small ring of RBI players in St. Cloud, MN (60 miles NW of Minneapolis). Some pretty good players in the group. We play you just have to pitch over the plate, and no knuckleballs or sinkers. We have a rule at our house that if anyone plays and gets 10-runned, they owe $1.00.
I wonder how we would compare in style and strategy, because we don't really get to see outsiders play, just a group of 10-12 or so.
No one takes Detroit, though, it's funny.
Hey Tony, welcome to the site... Good to see more straight-pitch groups out there...
If you are any good with lefties, be sure and take Detroit. At the very least, they are a top3 team. Sub Sheridan for Herndon and you're all set...
I like your 10 run pay rule....it forces everyone to bring their "a" game to the table...plus it raises money for more keystone light
what's up St. Louis, Phoenix, AZ here. I think the calibur of play in here is pretty top notch. I paid attention to the Champian of the universe tournament, and I'm sure that the top five players were amazing; or all of them for that matter. I've never met or played any of you guys before, and I would probably lose, definitely in curve play. Straight pitch I might have a chance if I hit my 15 plus dingers. I don't think we'd ever play for money here because we're all a bunch of cheap asses, but we don't mind playing for drinks at all! We've played drinking RBI for 3 years before I knew this site existed. we also play drinking foosball, drinking yahtzee, drinking paper-rock-scissors, and any game you can think of. Drinking RBI is my personal favorite though. have a great boozin' weekend.

I think I am definitly past my RBI prime...mainly because I can't remember the last time I played sober
That 10 run rule sucks for rookies.
