Running slow right now, plus I just got the following error about a minute ago when it wouldn't let me into the forums:
Warning: Too many connections in /var/www/html/yabbse/index.php on line 50
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Too many connections in /var/www/html/yabbse/index.php on line 50
Too many connections
Interesting, let me know if it keeps happening. Send it to my dee-nee email...
OK, seems to be running normally again
Happened to me as well just now.

Keep posting here when this happens and I'll look at when I get a chance...
I finally got it myself and increased the max-connections setting on the database. Apparently 100 database connections at once is too few for the Dee-Nee forums. Set it to 250 and if we exceed that then it's time for a new server...
Let me know if you guys get it again...
It's been running smoothly for the past couple of days.
I got that message last night a few times, and then an hour later everything was fine. It seemed like the same amount of people were on when it was working as when it didn't, if that information means anything.
Running pretty slow at times today
yeah, it was absolutely brutal today for a little while. I'm on dee-nee and I couldnt do much on the machine. The webserver & SQL server were using a huge chunk of my resources. I think the forums have outgrown my workstation, imagine that...
I'm going to try upgrading the RAM to 512mb (from 192) and see if that helps out. Swapping quite a bit...
I'm uploading a game video to the server - does that impact speed for everyone else as well?
Not really... When the system was crippled I ran a check of the system usage and there are usually about 15 httpd (the web server) processes taking up 5% of RAM and CPU each. I don't see FTP anywhere near teh top of the list. So you are cool...
Gantry, do you need donations to up the ante on this beast?
I'll donate a pre-owned liver...it's twice the size of a normal liver, so it should be worth twice as much, right?
