Title: Exhibition Game Hell/Heaven Watch
Post by: ultimate7 on 12/02/04, 04:17:21 PM
I decided to make a ROM with out the 10-run rule in place to see what would happen.  I'm not sure this game will finish before I leave work (note it has take 63 minutes to finish 4.5 inning.  The game would have ended after 4 with 10-run as Heaven scored 47 in the bottom of the 4th to pull ahead 90-75, they used all 4 PHs in the inning (each time in the 9 spot).  If this game finishes in time, I'll let you know the outcome.

Alright I'm officially done with these Hev Hell games, already over 1.5 hours 137-119 after 7 and I have to get out of here

fightonusc would provide us with box scores so he's better than you.  Plus, you cheat.

Even I might throw my hands up at this one. I might provide video, but that would probably cause Gantry's computer to crash...

Apparently in Heaven they use hundred-minute hours.

I left my PC on when I left so the game could finish, bullpens apparently did a pretty good job.  149-133 final

You're assuming those would be 1s before the score numbers.  What if it was actually 249-133, or 249-233?

Well if you look at the HRs and ABs 2Bs and 3Bs, I'm fairly certain they were both in the 100s.  Basically they would have had to hit an extra 100 HRs for the runs in order for it to have been 249

Good point.  I just wanted to throw the possibility out there.

As I was walking from work to the train last night, the possibilities were going through my head, how will I be able to tell 100 or 200 (or even more problematic >255 which could screw up who actuall won the game), but I decided I'd probably be able to tell by number of HRs and other stats.

If the score goes over 255, it will rollover to zero, so without you sitting there watching it there's really no way to tell. If it doesn't, you can see the "real" score of the game by looking at RAM.

In FCEU, click NES in the menu, then Debugger. On that window, click the "Memory..." button. This will bring up a new window. The away team's score is stored at $0118, and the home team's score at $0119. Convert the numbers you see at those locations back to decimal (easy enough with the Calculator that comes with Windows) and you've got the real score.

Here's a really disgusting picture illustrating it ...
