have you ever lost a game on purpose?
I usually play with my girlfriend, and I let her jump out to a 4 or 5 run lead, I then get to within one or a tie game, eventually I let her win. Does anyone else do this, or am I just evil.
When my wife is willing to play, I usually try to keep it close. I'll usually pitch straight pitch to her while she can pitch however she wants.
I let my son win when we play, but we haven't played in a long time. I also use straight pitch and don't take extra bases because he's not too good at tracking down the ball. He's pretty dense for a 15 year old.
I kid. He was 6 when we last played.
I won't even tell her I play this game.
I refuse to play with my wife. She would probably get way to into it and practice and then one day beat my ass...and then our marriage would be over. I would have no hand.
When my daughter is old enough, we'll definitely play.
My wife agreed to play for the first time yesterday, because it was my birthday. I gave her straight pitches and didn't take extra bases. If I can ever talk her into it again, she may eventually get mediocre.
My wife played RBI once...I jumped out to a 34 run lead in the first inning, and then I promptly gave up enough runs to let her 10 run me in the third inning. She won't play anymore.

I started off pitching straight fastballs to my girlfriend, but then around the 3rd inning she jacked 4 HR's in a row (she plays with NA). I left my NES at her house, and I can tell that she's been practicing.
great thread!
I think we all aspire to fall in love with a woman who can be a great life partner, and RBI opponent.
