Title: FS: RBI Arcade Game & RBI Shirts
Post by: Keith Krueger on 12/06/04, 01:45:17 AM
2 things of interest to you guys.

1) I have a spare RBI Baseball arcade machine in my garage (the 3rd one I have owned).  I am in the process of reassembling it and was going to put it on ebay next week.  Anybody here want to make an offer before then?  It is located in Godfrey, IL - 45 min north of St. Louis, MO and I will NOT ship it.  Email me if you are interested - yell@keithkrueger.com.

2) Being bored tonight I whipped up some shirts (and underwear) with the RBI Baseball logo on them, I threw them in my online store www.EffenGear.com.  Check them out if you get a chance.

That's the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. Well, until someone posts pics of themselves wearing one, which is inevitable.

I tried to get the

1P PLAY
2P PLAY
WATCH

lines under there but I kept messing the image up so I gave up.

Hey, what the hell is this?  Are we able to just order these?  Also, what are they--iron ons or what?

This is absolutely great!!!

I don't know a lot about the manufacturing process.  The bit I have read says it's digital heat press technology.  The reviews I have read say that the color fades a bit on the first wash but not much after that.

You can order them directly from that website using that shopping cart system.  I never see your credit card, etc, the manufacturer handles all that.

I believe it's $4 shipping for one item.

i would think that "digital heat press" = iron on.

Ah, but notice the "digital" - the iron has a temperature display on it!  Or perhaps a clock!

The only shirt I could see myself buying would have to have an RBI Guy on it, either with the bat or waving.  I can't see buying a shirt that just says "RBI Baseball"

I have to agree, is there anyway to have the the logo on one side and maybe one of the RBI guys waving or holding bats on the other side? If you have that, then I'll buy one.

Or, how about you sell a blue shirt with all the RBI guys representing all the teams, like they do in the game. Just a thought.

Cool, wasn't sure if there would be any interest in those shirts at all.  I will work on some new designs and try to get something tonight or tomorrow that has both the logo and some players on it.

As far as the color of the shirts I am very limited.  I can only use white, grey, light green, or yellow - pretty much limits us to white and grey for RBI use.

I don't mean to speak out against the dee nee community, but I'd prefer some without dee nee on it...just because most people don't know what dee nee is, although many our age can relate the the RBI logo/men.

That's fair...but for me it's not about other people "connecting" with my fucking t-shirt.  It's about representing Dee-Nee Style.  But, it looks like you'll be able to get your Dee-Neeless t-shirt.  I hope you're fucking happy. (smiley with a mutha fuckin' wink)

Joe Dirt, afraid to represent Dee Nee, proves to be a traitor.  We should all get special Dee-Nee shirts made, and send JD one with a big DAH-NAH.

I love it!

I just want to honor the fuckin' RBI game and not have to explain my chat room friends everytime I'm seen in the shirt...or in that sexy thong.  :)

Ha ha, that was good.  Besides Emilio's explanation, which is good, you could always just say that Dee Nee is an exclamation used when you succeed, similar to BOOYAH.

Some new designs are up (see www.EffenGear.com).  One has the logo with the National League representative and the other has a jumbo California player on it, I also kept the Logo only versions of everything.

The shirts look great.  you may want to fix the players' eyes though... they follow you around the room, creepy

hey guys, any chance we can get a shot of Tengen Field on the back of one of those t-shirts??

Have you seen the view of the stadium they give when you are selecting your players, it's kind of a wide shot of Tengen Field??

I think that would be hot.

Trademark issues it is.  I got a message from the printers on Friday saying they wouldn't print those images because of possible legal issues.  Goess I should have seen that coming.  Sorry guys.

I ordered my shirt last night from Zazzle.  It was just like usc's but the logos were a tad smaller. For some reason, they won't let me make my "gallery" public.  I'm working on it.  As soon as I get the shirt I'll have a pic up immediately.

So did this ever work out for Japetus?  I see Kieth Krueger (presumably it's him) has another RBI arcade machine up for sale on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=6181249412&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW), this one looking quite different from the one the Dee-Nee family has.  How many versions of this thing did they make?

Also, I really wish I had $400 and a pick-up truck.

I don't know which version dee-nee has but here are the ways you will see an RBI game:
1) A gray Nintendo Unisystem upright single monitor cabinet.
2) A gray Nintendo Unisystem upright double monitor cabinet - as seen on klov.com.
3) A blue Nintendo Donkey Kong cabinet.
4) An orange Nintendo Donkey Kong Jr. cabinet.
5) A red Nintendo sit down cabinet with 2 monitors, known as a "red tent".
6) A Pacman/Galaxian cabinet - this looks very wrong but Nintendo did sell a kit to do this.

I own a #1 that I restored and am keeping.  I have owned a #5 and a few #3's.

Somebody buy the one on ebay, I have 5 arcade games sitting in my garage and my wife wants me to clear some space.

keith, i very much want to buy one of these, and live within range.  however, i live in a goddamn box right now that literally does not have room for an arcade machine.  if you have one of these availible around October (when i will be moving to a bigger place), i am your man.  please post whenever you are going to sell one of these.
