Hey, is there anybody out there who would be willing to donate a lil time to throw together a simple website for the Ohio National Tourney coming up?
I will write all of the content, but I just don't really know how to build a website....and Gantry was kind enough to offer to host it...
...nothing elaborate--just something to inform people of what is going on!
::)
...it's times like this that I wish I HAD learned HTML... :( Anyway, if you have Microsoft Word, you should be able to fiddle with enough things to make a rinky-dink site. Any way you go, good luck ;D
I took a basic computer/OMIS class my freshman year in college, and HTML is actually very easy to learn. They sell how to books that will give you a basic web page in a matter of minutes. Getting it to look fancy is another story altogether. Case in point is this piece of crap I put together as a profile for a forum I used to frequent. I had forgotten most of what I learned, but I found my old textbook and made this page in about an hour.

Quality Mississippi Mud bottle in that one pic...
I always liked Touch of Evil over The Third Man but both are great flicks...
But like F-Gunk said, you can make a basic page in word and save as an html file. Give it a whirl and see if you can get the hang of it...

And when you DO now HTML, the best editor you'll ever need is good ol' Notepad.
This may sound stupid, but I'd like it if you'd still all me G-Funk for short. I just like the ring of it better. Besides, me likes the senseless.

I'm a sucker for the black and tans, especially when they're pre-mixed in a bottle with an alligator on it. And Touch of Evil's been on my to-buy list for years, but I'm ashamed to say I've never gotten around to seeing it.
Edit: I just looked at that pic again and I'm amazed you noticed that bottle. Gantry's got some good beer spotting eyes.
Just use microsoft front page dude. You can even use a template.
Don't use Frontpage or any other "HTML editor," unless you're a complete and total moron.

Bollocks, there is nothing wrong with using an editor. I would steer clear from MS Frontpage personally, it's quite bloated and most of the fancy stuff requires what's called server extensions on my end. Needless to say, I don't have the Frontpage Server Extensions installed...
Try Word and saving to a web file and see how that treats you...

Joe, I'll do it for you if you want, if you want to just write all the crap down in a word doc i'll fill in the blanks.
If it is a scam, I am in for it.

That's hilarious. I have no idea what it means, but hilarious none the less.
