I had a dream last night that i'd found my old starting lineup figurines at my parents' house. All of them were RBI-ers - Ryno, Puckett, and Viola, plus for some reason I also had a Gaetti. In reality, Kirby and Viola aren't missing (they were my brother's, and they are probably still at my parents' house), I never owned a Gaetti, and I still don't know where Sandberg disappeared to.
In the dream, I was going to take pictures and post them on the memorabilia thread.
I introduced my boy to SLUs. We have over 100, all opened. You can find them dirt cheap now.
Very fun to play with.
I never got into the Starting Lineup, even when I was a diehard baseball card collector. Any other SL fans out there? They seemed to get metioned quite a bit on here...
Baines, but I think those cocksuckers that broke into his place stole most of his shit, including that Baines mug he had.
I gave my 18 month old all my starting lineups. He seems to like the 88 Randall Cunningham and 88 Andre Dawson the best.
i repsect most memorabilia, but what can you do with starting line-up figures? or what did you do with them when you where younger? i think i had one, but all it did was sit on the shelf.
you take the big ole box of SLUs, grab your soon to be 3yr old, pick teams and then play a game on the coffee table. Hockey ones are best for this, baseball not so much.
