Title: mercy rule in fantasy?
Post by: GreatScott on 12/23/04, 02:12:15 PM
im starting to think its silly.  anything can happen.  might as well let teams make the dramatic comeback instead of stiffing the fans with 5 inning games.  just a thought.  obviously weve already played most of the season so maybe theres no sense in changing it now.  but for future reference, there is no such thing as mercy in rbi.

But there is a 10 run "mercy" rule

I'd hate to ruin the "integrity of the game"  by having the stats get changed now. Plus, some people drafted with the hopes that they don't get to their bullpen, and can end games early. Changing midseason impacts these people.

The mercy rule is part of RBI no matter what.  Whether it's fantasy or two human players one on one, the mercy rule is part of the game.  usc mentioned the "integrity" of the game and he's right.
