All right, fknmclane and I finally got through our inaugural online game of RBI. Here's a recap of the game played on my own crazy rom, with me controlling the Good Guys and Mclane with the Bad.
After numerous efforts to get a game started, we finally got a game going. Seeing as how Mclane appears to have been ripped off by the Retropad people, and left without a controller, we had to play with no curves allowed, and everything over the plate. It starts off rather interesting, as Nightwulf throws Strass a wicked curveball for an easy strike. Things settled down after that, and nothing much happened for a couple of innings. The good guys added a few runs with a fightonUSC homer (I think) and a JoeDirt crush to rightfield that was misplayed. Mclane fought back into the game, despite running into numerous double plays as a result of his keyboard playing. Ultimate homered in the middle innings, with Mike D crushing one over the left field bleachers. JoeDirt settled down after that, and got some help from Dryden, pinch hitting for BeeJay(who grounded out with 2 men on in his only pathetic plate appearance), crushing a 2 run homer to give the Good Guys some much needed insurance. JoeDirt was lifted for a pinch hitter in the later innings, giving way to Dove for middle relief. Dove did a good job holding the fort down, with Mclane baffled by his slow ball. He even managed to make contact on a double swing at one point, fouling it into his own dugout. Finally in the ninth, Beowulf came in for the save. Things got rough for the hard throwing Laotian sidearmer, as Mclane got a couple men on base in a three run game. However, the game ended quickly as Sucka hit a high pop up into foul territory. For whatever reason, the Bad Guys 3rd base coach sent the runner on third home, where he was trapped until the double play was completed. Overall, it was a very amusing game, with some major lag problems, and some hilarious mental errors.

EDIT: this recap was based primarily on my memory, which is not good.
I must have posted my recap at the exact same time. Here's my post from my thread.
Beej and I finally got it working (much thanks to Beefer and JoeD.)
I hope he took a screenshot. We used his dee nee rom. It's fucking awesome.
Beej beat me. He had a controller...fucker. I was using the keyboard and it fucked me on more than one occassion.
Highlights of the game:
-Gantry is a fucking beast - he accounted for all my runs if I'm not mistaken, including a towering 3-run bomb.
-Beef had an absolutely hilarious game. In the first inning, he hit a grounder to right field and got gunned out at first. He makes Tony Armas look like Carl Lewis. In his last at-bat, Beef was thoroughly fooled by a JoeD changeup and actually swung twice, connected on the second way around to foul it off. Beejay had to take a moment to calm himself.
-my keyboard fucked me on three plays, ending innings with double plays...I can't wait for my controller.
Good times.
I hope the controller arrives because my Retropad kicks insane amounts of ass.
Retropad is most excellent....
I am a fucking beast
Quotewith Mike D crushing one over the left field bleachers.
I have powers. Political powers. Why am I the bad guy? :'(
Nice quote, although I can't seem to place what show it's from. My gut says Peter Griffin, but my evil brain seems to think otherwise. Anyway, don't feel bad about being on the Bad Guys team. It was the "A" team when I made the original two teams, and I decided to go for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly as the 3. I figured the A teams gotta be bad, having been incarcerated, escaping, and becoming soldiers of fortune. Of course, your loyalty to the Red Sox automatically puts you on the bad category. :P
EDIT: Wait a minute, was it from the Simpsons where Homer and Mr. Burns got trapped in the avalanche?
Yes it is.
What were the lineups for the Bad vs. Good.

Looks like you switched Chubbs and Lips. Makes sense. Lips' power has to be obscene, I'm sure.
Myself and Baines are a lethal 1-2 punch at the top of the order. We're a couple of speed demons, a la Juan Pierre and Luis Castillo. Just a little less black.
and for some idiotic reason, you guys seem to have identical batting averages. I'm the bestest rom maker ever.
I think my power numbers should be higher. THe average looks about right, though, seeing as I'm more of a Rob Deer/Jack Clark type.
For back-up evidence to my claim, I'd like to state that I was the only player to go yard in the Uof Arizona Intramural softball league my freshman year. Dropped a slowpitch bomb about 340. I also hit one that I thought was going to be gone, stood at home and raised a finger in the old "Number 1" sign and watched it fly. It then hit the top of the fence and bounced back into play, limiting me to the longest single in the history of the league. I felt like an ass.

You were just telling everyone how many bases you planned on taking.
That is high comedy. It's like calling your shot.
I'm very happy to have McGwire's numbers. And also, from steroid use, his penis size.
Although, I should be a righty...
Why was I on the bench? I feel like Ozzie Smith complaining about playing time...23 HRs on the bench? I'll fight any of you!
at least you made the roster. even big hath made it. screw you guys, i'm going home.
You were a good fan, though
