Just an update to our plans here in NYC.
Right now, we easily have enough players for an 8 man tournament. I was thinking maybe Thursday, January 20th.
What we need is an additional NES besides mine that will function glitch free, and we need somebody to volunteer as a host. We have 2 cartridges.
So far from this site I know Dryden, Big Apple Rbi Champ (ex), GDavis and myself are in. I think there are a few more players too, please post so I can add your name to the definites.
We'll iron out all the details and show those Columbus cats what RBI is really all about.

I'm in. My apt's too small to host for 8 people and 2 NES's. I also know 2 people who aren't on this site that would probably want to get in on this if there's space for them.

We will play the same rules as the last two tournaments.
One starting pitcher per game, and anything goes, the way RBI was meant to be played.

hmmmm....that's an interesting direction to go with complete strangers, but alas, even RBI cannot discriminate against the "Billy Beans" of the RBI circuit.
Does a thursday evening tournament work for everybody or does it have to be on a weekend??
Thursdays work for me, but I think a weekend might give us some more time.
id love to play. i live on the ues. i dont have a nes and my apartment is a shithole so i dont think id be a very good host. However, Id be more than willing to bring booze over to the home of any fucker crazy enough to invite half a dozen dee-neers over for a tourney. keep me posted

Well, you asked if I was the anti-Gantry so I was going as anti-gantry as you can get. Anyway, I would prefer a weekend to Thursday, but if everyone says Thursday I will make it down there.

I guess Thursday the 20th does not work, I guess we'll pick a Sunday or Saturday that can work for everyone.
if we have 20 plus guys then we may need a third or even a fourth NES. either that or stagger start times. or have strippers in the adjoining room. we need non-players to have something to do.
