Title: dee-nee.com updates for 1/10/2005
Post by: Gantry on 01/10/05, 01:55:06 AM
I added a new user-created version of RBI to the ROMs Page - Ryno's Greats of the 1980s . That gives us a best of 70s, 80s and 90s ROM. Who's up for doing the 1960s?

I also added all the Famicom versions of Family Stadium to the ROMs page. They really did milk the Family Stadium franchise in Japan, I wish Tengen would have followed their lead on how to make sequels. Even the Family Stadium '94 plays just like the original, just more features and teams. All these ROMs play just fine on FCE Ultra, and thanks to nightwulf for (unknowingly) letting me copy his ROMs directoy and html for the page...

New music review - The Misfits - Walk Among Us. And believe it or now, a new book review! Graham Greene - Journey Without Maps

Nice write up on the misfits....an all time great punk band.

I tracked down the box set many years ago, and it still stands up today as it did 10 years ago.  IMO a criminally under-rated band from that era.  hell the newer misfits with new singer micheal graves,(i think he has left the band now though after a few albums) are pretty good as well.  the newer stuff is much more polished and more accessible in terms of listening to it, but still very good.

Seems to be quite a few misfits fans on here, bonny PM'ed me with the heads up too.   Apparently one of the Ramones was in the misfits reunion.  mclane also send me a bunch more misfits (Static Age, Legacy of Brutality, Collection I & II) so I'll be busy for awhile...
