Who were the big surprises and let downs of the fantasy season?
I think the two biggest let downs of the seasons were both members of the Fighting Tony Danzas. Kirk Gibson and Alan Trammell were just flat out awful. Gibson hit just 345 with seven dingers. Trammell was even worse, batting an anemic .375 with ZERO Homers. Now thats just unreal. Several pitchers managed to score on inside the park jobs. So I would say Trammel was the #1 letdown. I really feel for defen ... Gibson and Trammel both franchise players that just flat out sucked for him. No amount of managing can make up for that. Dishonorable mention to Wilfong, who was also terrible (.294!). Cant say he was too big a let down though ... hes really not that great in live play (at least in my opinion). Nolan Ryan was another sad story. He was shelled and got benched early with an ERA in the low 30s. Better luck next year nolan.
On the flip side, there were some pleasant surprise players. #1 for me is Scott Garrelts. He may have only pitched 7 innings but man was he dominant. Ive always thought of Garrelts as one of the best relievers in RBI
but a 2.57 ERA witht 3 ks is well ... hard to believe. I also think john morris stepped it up big time for my club. He did fizzle down the stretch but, i dont think anyone expected him to hit for the cycle or hit .500. I was also impressed with the performance of Mr Des Plaines Jim Lindeman. 8/10 as a pinch hitter is huge. He kept the late inning rallies alive for the poopydicks as they fought hard to clinch a playoff spot.

For me, the biggest disappointment is that people are still misspelling Trammell despite all of my recent work in this field.
However, the biggest surprise for me, was the battle of the OC and the Stiffs. That was special.
My team shit the bed and threw litters of dogs in their bathtubs. Fucking disgraceful.
A-Train was definitely the No. 1 disappointment this season. Personally, I was expecting a lot more out of Drugs Strawberry this season, and even through he had an "OK" season, it wasn't the type of MVP-esque performance that I expected out of him.
Cocaine's a hell of a drug

The biggest disappointment to me is the spelling of disappointment in the headline.

I'm surprised JoeD didn't spot that.

No, the biggest disappointment right now is how badly Nails fucked up the quote mechanism...
How the hell did that happen?!
I was going to say: I'm surprised JoeD didn't pick up on the misspelling of "disappointment". I guess he was on too hard of a "Trammell" rampage.
...guess I should start proof-reading my posts...
Can I enter the Cousin to the COTUT under the team name "ATrammel"? Just to piss of JoeDirt every time he has to enter it on a bracket...
What is that Emilio Estevez quote from in usc's signature? He didn't actually say that did he?
Well, the Dee-Nee Emilio did, and that's the only Emilio I recognize...

No need to proof read your post. But I think at the very least, we should all be able to spell the names of the RBI players...at the very least the names should be spelled correctly on the site (my original post)...I was just pointing that out 'cause I assumed (still do) that Gantry would want to know and correct...
