Title: Straight Pitch League ROM
Post by: JoeDirt on 02/05/05, 04:31:40 PM
It's the duty of each team to check their own roster/ratings, etc. for accuracy.

But here it is!  Set on 2pp and same team.

EDIT: 2x SEE UPDATED ROM BELOW.

I looked over my team, and the numbers looked right.  What's changed in the updated ROM?

I changed stock's colors and added team names to the screen that flashes through all teams before hitting start...nothing major.

Yo JoeDoucheBag, was this a test?

It looks like Bruce Hurst's Slow Speed Pitch number is messed up.  It should be 166, not 169.

...unless the fightonusc excel and the Boston page on dee-nee.com is fucked up.

Hmmm, the "Default NES Data" ROM has 169...

oops.  Lemme check...

Glad you guys are checking your teams, though.

It looks like 169 is right, after double checking the licensed and unlicensed RBI ROMs.

I guess the next question is...is fightonusc's excel self-made (copied from dee-nee team pages) or was it extracted from nightwulf's rbi editor?

I am just wondering if other numbers are messed up on the dee-nee team pages.

I will go ahead and change the Boston page now.

All of my stats come from Nightwulf's editor.  So now who's the douchebag?

I still need to do one more update...somehow the 2pp was dropped with the 2nd update.

I had all free agents listed on the All Star teams, but I accidentally deleted the update.

I'll redo it tomorrow.  :(

I'll check it, but I'm almost postive Coleman is at a 148 rating for speed...(which is correct).

Okay the latest update is complete.

Changes made:

* all free agents are listed on the allstar teams
* 2 player pause feature re-added
* same team option re-added
* Joe Dirt line up slightly altered

Before I post it, though...can you guys play around with the last ROM and lemme know if there are any line up changes to be made?

Also--Noah, I checked Coleman's speed--it's correct.

I went through and played a season with my team vs. the CPU last night.  Here's a few observations.

-Don Baylor is a miserable disappointment.

-GDavis and Brookens carried my team.

-Burks was born to hit leadoff.

-Brett hits 450 foot foul balls better than anyone in the game.

-I could've sworn Joe Dirt's team cheated when I played them.

-Madlock didn't do shit until I had made up my mind to put him on the bench in favor of Bass.  He then responds with back to back 2 HR games.

I think my team is going to be the "Houston" of this league.

I failed to mention that my pitching staff sucks donkey balls.

I am also likely to get owned in this league because my generic ass knockoff PS2 controller won't allow a throw or run to 2B.

Good to know...   ;)

I've been planning on getting my ass handed to me.  I haven't played against another person since I was probably 11.  16 years of developing bad habits.

Ryno and I usually play "gentleman's rules," when it comes to controller fuck ups...meaning, if I hit a double and his left fielder throws to 1st base when trying to throw to 2nd, I won't take the extra base.  Shit like that.

I can play either way (my controller is pretty good, generally)...but I'll be extra careful to watch for controller errors from Baines.

That's cool.  It's not that I can't ever get a throw to 2B but it works probably 1 out of every 3 times.  Chance of a fast throw are nearly impossible.

Joe, I'll take a look at our teams and come up with some kind of offer for the Ryan Express.

Here's the latest ROM, now that everything is situated.

If you want ever want a line up change, PM me and I'll do it.

I suggest that before each series is played, each player goes to the "Most recently Updated ROM" link.  I'll just keep adding 'em there so you don't have to scroll thru tons of convo to find it...

If you want, i have a spare controller

Edit:  I tested the controller this morning and it appears to have shit the bed...

By the way, it's serial, not USB... that might make a difference to you depending on your computer...

Adding this ROM as a secondary source.  Our 8 fantasy teams are identical b/w the 2 roms.
