Kevin Mitchell is by far the streakiest player in the game. He is either dead on, or he can't buy a hit. Does anybody else find certain players to be streaky?

"Kevin Mitchell is built in the mold of every twentysomething homer, right-handed #2 hitter in RBI - capable of the huge outing but lacks game-to-game consistency. One game will be 3 dingers and a single, the next will be 4 flyouts. Just hope it's his week, hence the nickname... "
Dick Schofield is high on my list...
Definitely Gaetti and Gedman. They either do absolutely nothing or they cannot be stopped. Extremely frustrating.
I forgot about Gedman...he's great when you're looking for well-hit foul balls or double plays.
Gary Carter - either he's 5-5 with 3 HR every day or 0-5 for 3 weeks.
Donny Baylor
I find Brett to be pretty streaky...and definitely worse than he should be...esp. for a first ballot HOFer...
I'm gonna second Carter - I have the same luck with him as Nails. Also, Puckett gets on hot streaks every now and then, but I expect him to be crappy most of the time, and he usually is.
I believe in everyone who has been mentioned, except Carter. I'd also like to add anybody who bats for Minnesota. I just don't understand that team.
Mike Schmidt and Cal Ripkin.
In straight pitch, McGwire is definitely the streakiest player. I have had the most 5 home run games with him. It seems I have also had the most 5+ ground out games with him.

I would agree not agree with this as he always has sucked the most for me (and my college roommates). In college we used to call him "double play Brett" since he ALWAYS seemed to ground into double plays with a runner on 1st.
yet he has to play, 'cause there's no better alternative.

Right! There has actaully been times that I have bunted with him with runners on 1st and 2nd and no outs (just to avoid the double play).
Brett is consistently shitty. I completely agree. My thoughts on the AL squad are well known and Brett is a big reason I think they suck.
I second Gedman. It seems like he is all or nothing.
Ryno23 isn't streaky--well maybe his underpants, but as for his RBI game--he consistently sucks.
Ah, but I am streaky.
Swept by JoeD, then I sweep Nails.
That my friend, is streaky.
My underpants are not streaky.
I go commando.
so then your jeans are streaky. :(
