Sources out of the Nails camp are saying that Andre Dawson has been put on the trading block. When reached for comment, Dawson said, "I want all the kids to do what I do, to look up to me. I want all the
kids to copulate me."
This comment only spurred on GM Nails efforts to rid the team of what most players are calling a major club house cancer.
At 8:02 CST, The NAILS confirmed that Andre Dawson was packaged with Chris Spier in a deal with the Hoggs.
The Hoggs are sending RBI Legend, Kirk Gibson and the newly feminized Kelly Ripken over to the NAILS.
Gibson was pleased with the trade. "I'm glad to get out of this god foresaken hell hole. The hookers use way too much teeth and the beer is always flat. In addition, the dumb shit of a manager couldn't never find a permanant spot for me in the lineup," said Gibson.
When told of the trade, Ripken simply stated "I sure hope the tampons are cheaper in NAILS town. It's too expensive being a bitch."
Chris Spier is just happy being on a video game.
Hopefully, Gibson and Ripken will spark the Nails offense. The 0-6 start, with the leagues lowest run production is shameful.
we need a new line up for you, nails.
Coming up in a few...

I (personally see no problem with this trade). We would need 2 GMs (25%) to dispute this trade for it to be null/void.
I think I originally said 12 hours for trades to be disputed. This happened last night, so lets say 10am this morning. If I get no disputes by then, the trade is final. In the meantime, I will update the ROMs with the new lineups.
If the trade gets nullified, I can always change it back.
I was joking...
I'll post an update to my rom, too.
updated with trade

Sticky Thread is updated with both updated ROMs.
Trade is a go for me...
I think the Hoggs definitely got the better of that trade. Dawson is a stud, and I have to think he'll get it going soon. And Speier is an underrated performer.
I think it was a good trade for both...Hoggs does have yet another hole in his line up now, though...
I agree that Nails definitely got the better end of this deal. Besides Heep, there lineup is stacked with speed at the top of the order.
I am fairly confident (and bummed) that Nails will get his first win(s) of the season in week 3.
This was strictly a performance deal for me. I had been grossly disappointed in Gibson. It kinda makes me wonder if Joe Dirt hadn't made Gibson less of a player. . . .but I dirgress.
Ripken was a bag of ass. He wasn't bad in the 8 spot, but a player with his ratings and potential should not be an 8 hitter.
This now gives me a 3-4-5 of Murphy, Dawson, and Dewey. Dewey has come on strong of late. I've still got Raines at the top and I now can drop Carter down to the 7 spot, thus giving my line up a glimmer of power in the bottom of the order.
If Baines doesn't have a good series against NoahG, his sorry good for nothing ass will be back on the pine and newly acquired Spier will be in the starting line up.
Neither Gibson or Ripken have the same power as the Hawk, but I think my lineup is more well-rounded now and power runs a little deeper in the batting order. I like left handed batters much more than righties. Gibson is a perfect fit (one of my favorite players in RBI), and Ripken is a power upgrade from Britney Speier.
Nails' Manager:
"We don't need Dawson to finish in last place. We can do that without him."

Did Nails' manage manage the cubs from 1973-2002? That's pretty much the idea the organization had all the way through.

Actually, I stole that from a story I heard about the Pirates letting go of Ralph Kiner (http://www.baseball-reference.com/k/kinerra01.shtml). He couldn't believe it, since he was their best hitter. They told him they didn't need him to finish in last place, and that they could do that without him.

Ah, but did Ralph Kiner want all the kids to copulate him?
Possibly. He was drunk most of the time.
Ralph "The Drunken Copulator" Kiner
There's nothing like drunken game commentary from Ralph Kiner. He used to host a post-game show called "Kiner's Korner". A few times he started the show off by slurring out "Welcome to Korner's Kiner". He'd fuck up all the players names and go off on crazy tangents. Funny stuff.
