Title: uploading your own aviator
Post by: TempoGL on 02/22/05, 11:55:38 PM
every time i try to do this, the page just reloads, showing my old aviator instead of the new one.  what gives?  is there a pixel size limit or something that i'm not aware of?

I think all the aviators are resized to 80x80, actually.

I don't know if you can upload from your cpu, a while back you needed to host the image on another site(photobucket.com) or some shit.

This may have changed, but I always thought to be bit unnesasary seeing you can attach any image into a thread you wan't right off your cpu.

Try shrinking it to 75X75 or smaller and make sure it's saved as a jpeg.  I'm not sure if that's the problem(mecha blyleven was resized automatically), but 75 is the maximum that will be shown.

I was unable to upload mine, until I resized it to 75X75 Pixels.  Once I did this it worked fine (......well the picture looks like shit, since making it a square distorted it).

BeeJay can probably do a better job, but that's a REALLY tough pic to scale down because there is too much detail.  Here are my two best attempts...
