Title: Terry Puhl's Power
Post by: GDavis on 07/15/02, 05:07:35 AM
I think its cool that you're adding the actual ratings from the RBI manager to the site.  One thing i don't get is you have Terry Puhl's power rating at 0.  How is this possible?  I've gone yard with him plenty of times.

It is quite strange how Puhl has the donut for power.  I have gone yard with him quite a few times and find him to be a good player in straight pitch.  Low power ratings don't mean too much if you get perfect swings.   Also, he has that pinch-hitter magic, so that increases his power somewhat.  Lastly, a 0 power doesn't equal no power, more that he gets less of a power boost than most players.  Or something like that...

its confusing... what power rating does the wizard have? and pitchers, what's their rating?

The Wizard and all the others with the ground-ball attribute (see my post below) have an F power rating.  If you click on the "F" in the tables, it'll take you to the FAQ question with more details.  Ditto for all the ratings, click on their heading (Pwr, Sp, Ct) for their respective FAQ question...

As for the pitchers, there are no ratings for them.  The guy who wrote RBIBM is pretty confident all pitchers have the same abilities, as he couldn't find their data in the game...

in that case, should we make giving up a homerun to anyone with the groundball attribute equivilent to giving up a homerun to ozzie?
