Title: ParPort Joystick & 2K
Post by: MarquisEXB on 05/20/03, 12:57:24 PM
Since someone else posted a link to this:

has anyone tried to get one of these working with FCEU in windows 2000? I had no problem getting my 2 SNES controllers -> home built PARPORT in Win98.  However in windows 2K, they don't seem to work properly. I've tried a few different drivers, but no luck so far.

Any tips?

Mike

What do you mean by home built PARPORT?  Did you take a SNES controller and solder the end of it to fit a parallel port?

I might have to buy one of those JUMP kits for $15...

FCEU uses DirectX, you might want to try other DirectX games/emulators and see if those work.  Also try going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and see if there's a newer verison of DirectX you can install...

I basically made his JUMP box as in this link:

http://www.dreamcliff.com/personal/daniel/jump/mport.htm

Mine is only a two player (for the moment). I have the latest version of DIRECTX, but I will try to check out other games that use DIRECTX. It works in the control panel (sees all the buttons).

Thanks,
Mike
