I put the original stats into an excel spreadsheet to try to find some reason to the ratings. The only one I was able to decently approximate is contact. The equation I came up with is:
CONTACT=-234.1*(BA)+86.3
63% of the original rom falls within +/-2 of this number.
80% within +/-3
93% within +/-4
It doesn't work that well at the bottom of the list, but should give you a good approximation, especially if you double check your ratings with the original rom.

Yet your rom is known for it's "Better Ratings"
I don't care if your peter gammons, your "understanding" of baseball and it's players is not going to get you any closer to representing the original RBI then mine did. Good thing I didnt try to.
Very interesting Marquis... Who are some of those players whose contact rating doesn't match up with the equation?
Next step is to find how contact rating actually matters in the game. I think you'll need a pretty powerful spreadsheet to figure that one out...

Why dont you quit your crying. Im just questioning your ratings as you have done mine. I honestly done care anymore, from now on, you can make all the roms. I wish I had never started one.
