if i download a rom and it comes as a winzip file...once i put the rom into my nes file can i delete the winzip file that it came from?

Simple answer:
If you mean you unzipped the .nes file into your rom folder, then no you shouldn't need the zip file anymore.

Complicated answer:
However some emulators (FCE Ultra) will read a rom file inside of a zip file. Meaning when you open your emulator, try to open the .zip file instead of the .nes file. If the game opens, you can forget about unzipping the file & just put the zip into your rom folder.

in my emulator, if i try to open up the zip it doesnt do anything so i have to open the .nes file....so go ahead and delete the winzip right....so they will all be like when you downloaded the 2k3 from clyon, no zip files just .nes files???

does that make sense??
