I was checking out the FAQ page earlier and saw that you say watching RBI is the most pointless addition to the game. I concur. But.... I highly recommend watching a game and drinking to it. My roomate Jim and I watched a game of Detroit vs. St. Louis. I drank for Dt and he drank for STL. we had to take one drink per total base and 5 per run. 5 per doink. 5 per strike out. And a few other rules i cant remember now. It got out of hand considering a 2 run homer was 14 drinks and the game ended with STL winning something like 24 to 17. Needless to say it was the drunkest i had ever been while watching RBI. Everyone must try this once. Its not quite as fun as drinking when you control what happens but fun nonetheless.
That does sound interesting, especially since you don't have to keep pausing the game to drink. A nice, smooth drinking contest...
If you actually bet on the games, it's almost like real sports. Some friends of mine used to bet on Madden Football. They'd put like $10 on the line and watch. I thought it was crazy, but everyone was into it.
Occasionally when there's nothing on TV and I'm working out in the basement I'll put RBI on watch mode, and let them play a few game series. Some crazy stuff happens when the computer plays itself.
It's so fucked up watching the computer. It's the twilight zone. They're so bad.
That's not a bad idea about betting on the games. Kinda fun. I gotta be playing if I'm drinking, I think. Maybe Chubbs and I will try it after our 40 day sentence has expired.
If you're drinking and doing something else it might not be too bad. We're playing poker tonight so it might not be a bad idea to have some RBI Watch Mode going on on the TV.
I am supposed to mop the kitchen tonight. I think that I will put it in watch mode while I am doing so.
mop the kitchen on friday night? man, that sucks.
The watch mode didn't happen tonight. I lost to AM with HO 15-14. I should have just let the fucking CPU play itself.
