Title: Online Play
Post by: ultimate7 on 04/07/05, 10:21:29 AM
With the league going on, i'm just wondering how online play has been going.

Are there many delays?

Is curve play a good option or is the delay too much?

Is Poolstroke still the best?

the last 3 series I've played the lag has been pretty bad.

I wouldn't dare try "anything goes" style.

Our rules for straight pitch allow knuckles AND fastballs as well as the normal speed pitch.
With the lag this STILL becomes a guessing game as to what pitch is coming.  If you wait to start your swing until you can see/hear what is coming, there is no way you will hit a fair ball.

Like Ryno said, I would not attempt an anything goes league unless you enjoy 1-0 games that end in extra innings.

If I ever play in an online league again, I will only do so if "batting practice" rules are in place.  (ie.. every pitch straight with no fastballs or sinkers).
