Seems like this would be very difficult using network play.  Even with just a little lag, your shot would be all screwed up.

Let me know how it works!

At one time I had Nintendo Golf down to an art.  15 - 20 under par was expected.

My Dad and I had some epic battles on that game!

I don't think I could go 15-20 under nowdays . . . . . . . . .

Wow, I know at one point I would regularly shoot 9-10 under but breaking 60 for me was a great round (58 may have been my best), 20 under?  You really shot a 52?

The best I ever shot was a -20, but I usually shoot in the -10 to -12 range.
It would probably take some time to get neerly that good on Network play though (with the lag and all fucking up my swing).

the best I've ever seen was a 20 under.  My personal best is either 19 or 18.  I think I got 19 but I don't really care since it's still 1 shy of my friend's record.

This sounds like a contest. Anyone up for a Nintendo Golf tournament? We can do head-to-head, single (or maybe double) elimination playing online. Anyone else up for it?

Have any of you ever had a double eagle?  I've come so close on 8, so many times.

A couple of my friends have done it, both on the hole with a cutout fairway surrounded by trees.  I thought it was impossible until I saw it done.  It gives me a little hope on the pitcher home run.

Beejay is just mad because my brother always kicked his ass.  If a tourney was set up I can confidently say that my brother would surely be involved.

Let the record show that I suck at Golf.

When we played drinking tournaments, no one lost (for the record, I did beat him twice as opposed to many losses).  When someone shoots 15 under in the final round for a -56 for the tourney, it's hard to beat them, especially since I was usually blacked out by the final round.

And I'm a choker.  I hit it into the woods on 18 every damn time.

hell yeah,  a 20 under wasn't a problem.   it takes a few eagles  but it's very possible.

the network lag hurts BIG time.   maybe it would be something that you just deal with.

The time Joe and I played, the lag was bad enough to make a good score be above par.

To even the playing field, tournament style would be the way to go (match or stroke).

If we wanted to do the 'honor' system and have a 4 day tournament -- take a screen shot and post your totals.  Hell, we could do a fuckin' tour this way :D

I don't think this would be worth it, because it's such a different game when you're playing with someone.  I think if we do this, we should just deal with the lag, since everyone would have the same problem.  Granted, lag on an eagle putt would be much more annoying than any other time, but I think we could deal with it.

there has been a practice game.

There was occasional lag and it fucked BeeJay in the cornhole.

Following a rough 8th hole where unlce laggy reared his ugly head, Ryno went on a tear which included no bogeys, multiple birdies, and an eagle.

This one was much much closer than the score indicates.

Fkn lag.  I bet I at least 2 putted every hole, and my drives weren't much better.  Ryno probably would have still beat me though, since he made some big shots on the back 9.

Can someone post the ROM?  Where do you find the ROMs for other NES games?

I usually use romnation.net (http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/nes.html), but there's a lot more out there (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22NES+ROMS%22&btnG=Google+Search).  NesFiles.com (http://www.nesfiles.com/games/) has a decent selection as well.
