Yes that is right. I just hit an inside the park homer with DAVE STEWART! I was DL'ing a song from Kaaza and since I only have a 56K modem, it takes like 20 minutes to DL, so I decided to play Marquis' 1990 RBI ROM. I was OAK and played against NYY (CPU). It was the 7th inning with the score 7-0 with 2 outs and a man on first (Walt Weiss). I decided to do the Tettleton and I baby squibbed it to the right side. The ball was hit VERY softly right between the pitcher and the 1B. The pitcher tried to move to his left to field it but he was out of position so it squeaked by him. The pitcher was running after the ball but couldn't catch up to it! The ball was traveling at the same exact speed as the players can run! The pitcher was like 1mm from the ball but it was JUST out of reach and the pitcher just kept running after it. As the ball and pitcher passed the base path, I FINALLY realized what was happening and started laughing and then I thought RUN! I never have hit more than a double with a pitcher. Well before I knew it the ball (and their pitcher) was way out in right field! Because they used the pitcher their RF'er was also being controlled and the ball rolled right into the RF'ers glove at the wall. Now it was the race home. I just rounded third right before the RF'er got the ball and gunned it home. I was barely safe and the crowd went banana's! Well I was happy. Just thought I would share that event.
BTW, I've played with every team, except for Atlanta, and I must say that I think Cleveland has the best team. Their team is just loaded with superstars!
Nice to see you're playing the 90s rom. Bill & I noticed that the Yanks & Cleveland seem to better than the other teams. I decreased Cleveland's power too, because '95 was a big offensive year, but they still came out really good. Also that '98 Yankee team was unbeliveably good.
