I dont know if this was already on the site, but I thought I would ask anyway.  Who does everyone think is the best?  I say Ojeda.

I have limited lefty curve experience, but have always been impressed by Tudor...

I would have to go with Ojeda on this one.  Tudor comes in a very close 2nd though.

its funny that O-ring is getting votes for the best lefty, where a while back he got a few votes on a "worst starting pitcher" poll.  I think Tudor is much better.

I'm gonna have to go with Tudor on this one, but I do love Senor Smoke. In certain situations, he's automatic.

Uh, vgp, Senor Smoke (Juan Berenguer) is a righty, unless there's someone else that stole his nickname while I wasn't paying attention.  As for the best pitcher, I'm gonna go with Franie "Sweet Music" Viola, because he has more Cy Youngs than the other guys, despite his RBI mediocrity.  Also, he doesn't have any votes yet, and I feel bad for the guy.

Thanks for the correction Beef--I was thinking Senor was Willie H. (Aurelio Lopez, too, was called Senor Smoke--teammate of Guillermo)

it's john tudor with the nasty curve ball and pinpoint control by far...  freddy is good but not in tudor's class.

Ojeda, Tudor, Hernandez (Detroit bias) in that order.

tudor is silly.  end of story.

but on a side note...orosco and ojeda are a formidable combo.  ever since ive gotten a good handle of those 2 fools  i dont even start the doc anymore unless im facing DET or CAL.

ive hardley used fernando cause im not an all star user, but seems like fernando had "too much" curve and it was a bit hard to throw strikes with him.  however the last time i used him as ages ago, so i could be wrong.

I think you'll find that Can You Hear the Drums Fernando is a great SP when you've used him a lot.  If you go several weeks without using FV, then forget about it.  You really have to train yourself to control his movement often.

way to revive the thread TBT - Tudor is dominant in curve or straight pitch. Dayley is a nice option out of the pen too. I really love the SL squad, when I go yard off people with Oz (I think I'm the only one to do it), it's like a victory in itself...starting the doc against CA is dangerous because then you have to face wilfong in the leadoff slot and he kills righties.

I would have to say Tudor...Dayley in my opinion...runs 2nd only because his stuff isn't as good. Both contribute to a good St.Louis pitching staff...topped by Houston.
