I noticed that the page for the RBI Baseball Drinking Game (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/drink.shtml) is a bit bland. Since I consider it the most important page on dee-nee.com, I was hoping one of you fine photo gurus can make a picture to go under the title. Perhaps a picture of the RBI guy drinking a beer? Crafy photoshop of the box art with booze? It's all up to you...
Winner gets an autographed picture, signed by the entire dee-nee crew. Or if you prefer, absoultely nothing. Whatever floats your boat...
yeah...
All right, this was my first idea. I was thinking about doing a completely unique design to avoid copyright infringement, but then I realized that this site doesn't exactly avoid that as a rule. It's a little abstract, so if you want something else just give me some ideas. Here's a couple slightly different pics, along with desaturated versions that better match your incredibly colorful and flashy web site.
and the black and whites...
That first one is most quality....
I thought this thread would be dedicated to photos of wasted RBIers playing the drinking game. Strassy and I took some photos of our drinking games last week. I'll have to contact him about posting them. I think he posted one of them somewhere on the Anything Goes page...

That's what I was thinking too after seeing the title. There needs to be a thread for drunken RBI pics.
Is that a pic of Charon crossing the River Styx? I think the first pic cropped a little would be perfect, what do others think?

Yea, I wanted to get the "death" part of the drinking game in there. At first, i was going to go with the grim reaper, but then I thought it would be even better if the rbi guy was making the voyage to Hades (with the double bock in hand of course).

It doesn't seem like anyone else cares. Maybe the weekday people will chime in tomorrow.

I care. I think the 1st one is awesome.
1st one is best, definitely...
When I first looked at the pic yesterday at Gantry's place, I noticed the Sam Adams reference but I was like WTF is in his other hand? Today after giving it a double-take on my pc, it was a lot more clear.
I blame Gantry's worn-down monitor (pass-me down from me).
OK, I've added the first picture to the RBI Baseball Drinking Game (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/drink.shtml) page, let me know what you think. Did a smidge of Gimp work to crop some of the top/bottom, cutting the file size in half. If I screwed anything up Beej, let me know...
Expect an autographed picture of some sort in your mix CD as well...
Speaking of the RBI Drinking Game, it should be amended to adjust for anything goes. For example, strikeouts are a lot more common (and not worth ten drinks), as are 1-2-3 innings (and not worth three drinks plus one for each additional batter).
When I play the drinking game, we usually adjust for these, but there are always quarrels about some of the specifics.
If someone comes up with a semi-agreed upon set of rules for a curve-based drinking game, I'd be glad to add them to the page. How have you other curve-pitch members adjusted the drinking rules?
We usually make strikeouts worth one drink. And I usually think that a 1-2-3 inning should also be worth 1. Though, three might be fair since there are usually a few less homeruns.
Let's see if I can remember, we used mason jars to make it more exact than the typical "drink" measure.
Strikeouts = 1 oz.
strike out the side = 4 oz
1 run = 2 oz.
home run= 2 oz.(meaning a solo shot is 4, a 2 run homer is 6, 3 run shot is 8, but the slam was a full 12 or 16 depending on how saucy we felt)
face(what you call bops) = 1 oz for the batter
Intentional walk/bean ball = 2 oz. for the pitcher
Intentional strike out = 1 oz. for the batter (I tend to swing at every pitch, so when someone tried to walk/bean me and I struck out, that's what we called it)
each hit = a sip for the pitcher
Doubles and triples might have been 1 and 2 oz.
Stolen bases were probably a couple oz.
I'm probably missing some stuff, but you get the idea. At the end of the game, we would do stuff for the box score. One method was drink the difference in errors. So if I had 10 errors and my opponent had 5, he would have to drink 5 oz. The loser would also have to drink 6 oz or so for the loss.

Yeah, we use shot glasses. Too easy to cheat any other way.
I may have said it before, but Strassy is the fucking king of this game. Nobody that I know can make it through one game without being totally fucked... I believe that Strassy has regularly made it through TWO FULL GAMES, and in some cases more. It always astounds me, especially given that he is about 150 pounds soaking wet.
One time we played after a trip to the olive garden, and by about the 4th inning one of our roommates was puking up his dinner. Good times.
nacho likes to bitch and moan about the 1-2-3 being three drinks. i think it's solid. we don't hit as many home runs in curve pitch, so you have to have the equalizer somewhere. here is our basic drinking game stance:
Strassy - any rule that requires more drinking = good
Nacho - any rule that requires less drinking = good
Gantry, I'll post me and Chubbs' rules for slurve drinking tomorrow. I think he's gonna come over tomorrow night for some dinner, drinking and an unholy beatdown in RBI. Gotta buy a controller tomorrow morning...
