i've been a longtime reader of this forum, love the concept and would like to get involved in online play, but have read about the lag problems experienced by others.
Gantry, would it be helpful to have another server configured for online play? I have bandwidth and capital available if this helps. I would just need instructions on how to configure the server.
You are certainly welcome to try calabash, do you have any linux servers at this site? The fceud code is simple to compile and install, assuming you have a recent Linux distribution. There is a way to make the fceud install in Windows, but I have not tried it out yet...
The last available source for the FCEU server is available here:

Compiling and running the server doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. If you're using Windoze machines, the README file suggests that compilation should be possible via cygwin. I haven't toyed with cygwin in over a year, and I'm probably no help in that matter.
