If Gantry and I have games like this, it's a good thing that we got 72 beers. What a f*cking start to this year's tourney. I'll take the win, Gantry doesn't like it, but I was due. He's killed me the last 5 years. It's sad that I have to score 27 runs to win though.
Jason and Pots up now.

GAME OVER...
JASON IS THE 2005 CHAMPION!!!!!
First and foremost, I would like to appoligize to the RBI community. My final 2 games were an embarasement to myself and everyone involved. I would also like to take my hat off to Vitb6 (aka Jason) who played a good overall touney. I thought that I played the best out of all of us, but I was beaten. I'm drunk and can bearly type, so all I can say is "Dah-nah". I also give a shout-out to Dildo Baggins. Dee-nee.
The morning after...
I concur, congrats to Jason... It's a bit of a wakeup call for the original dee-nee members. All of us lacked heart, and it showed out there. Jason played strong throughout and didn't get down when he was losing. I on the other hand completely burnt myself out in the first few games. As sad as it sounds, I didn't really care if I won that tiebreaker - I was too drunk, tired and pissy. My score reflected my attitude and I'm glad I lost....
Hopefully next year brings a new attitude, because all of us outside of Jason were an embarassment. Dee-nee to Vit and he better watch his back in 2006...
Dee-Nee....Champion! (in an Adam Lipitz tone of voice)
I would first like to thank Hashem for his kind words back in page 1 of this thread. Although the rust showed in the first series, I knew I had it in me but Hashem's words of confidence showed me the way and gave me the fuel to the fire that I needed to succeed.
Next, I would like to thank the participants in the tourney for giving me a chance and a tough challenge.
It was a long struggle last night. The first series proved that as I started out 0-2 to Potsie and had a long road ahead of me. After sweeping Mark, I had to take 2/3 against Gantry to get in the finals and then 2/3 against Potsie to win. After the first series I went 6-1 to capture my first belt, even with fouling out 30 times.
As the games wore on, the scores got lower as everyone had a tough time focusing on the ball. My extremities were numb and the ball was pretty blurry. But the managerial move of the night I must say was in the last game of the night. In the top of the 9th, Matt Nokes was pinch hit for by Mike Heath and Heath capitalized with a gigantic HR that proved to be the difference in the ballgame. Thank you Mike Heath!
That is all for now as I must go, but in parting I will say that I claimed the title belt and I put my mark on the Dee-Nee tourney as the tides have turned.
Dee-Nee!
Bump. With the importance of the tourney, I think the thread needs a sticky until the next tournament. ;D
Vit's pages have been updated to reflect his current championship:
http://dee-nee.com/rbi/jason.shtml
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Vitb6
Also touched up the championship page on the wiki:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/2005_Dee-Nee_Tournament
Nice little set of stats to secure my downfall.
1) I was the only person to lose to Sperling
2) I had a 10-0 record against Sperling going into this year's tourney
