Title: Why play RBI?
Post by: Ty Thomason on 06/13/02, 10:25:00 PM
Ive never really played RBIbaseball much, but i downloaded the rom and it reminds me alot of the NES game Little League baseball. I was wondering whether anyone here has played that game which has much better animation and gameplay or why everyone prefers RBI baseball?

How could a game about little league baseball compare to RBI, which has some all time great players in it like Dickie Thon.  Can't expect you to know whats up though, with a last name like Thompson...You must be related to Robby Thompson, the worst player in the game!

I have little league baseball.  I played that game for a week but then it got very boring.  I think RBI is much better, plus u get to play with real MLB players.

Ill agree that its more fun to play with real players... but little league baseball has better gameplay. There is more variety with short, fat, and tall guys (still no blacks, but some guys have black hair) and more types of pitches.  It also has a better fielding system - your fielders arent always locked together so the outfielders can get the balls the infielders miss.  And GDavis, before you bash someones name, learn to read. My name is ThomAson, not ThomPson.  You must be related to any 4 year old who hasnt learned to read yet!

the fielding is one of the things that llbb does better than rbi... if you attempt for the ball with an infielder and then change your mind, an outfielder is ready and waiting rather than running into the fence...  they throw much like rbi players... their glitch is that you can bat with the same player for the whole game...  that is, they dont eliminate players when you take them out...  i enjoy both but rbi is my favorite....burnzky, why dont you give me that game back....  thanks.

I never played little league baseball, but it sounds interesting...

RBI is the best game because it's an incredibly fun two-player game.  It blows with only one person, I'll be the first to admit that.  With two players though, it can't be beat...

I played little league baseball today and i'll tell u why play rbi.  In rbi u dont have to worry about your players throwing the ball from the outfield at 5 mph.  In rbi u get to play more than 7 innings, and they dont call the game after 6 if your down by 8.  In rbi the pitcher cant move all the way to the other side of the rubber and still throw a changeup that hits the batter in the back of the opposite batters box.   And in rbi u cant strike out on pitches that go through your bat.

Why play RBI?  Are you serious?

I'll tell you why.  Because, RBI Baseball is the greatest video game ever created.  It fucking rules!  That's why.

I bet you were a big Bo Jackson fan.

I like how your infielders and outfielders move in tandum.  Like the Bad News Bears in your little league, they are backing each other up.
