This thread is where you will pick your players in the ORDER of the draft, found on the other thread. A couple of rules to make things as simple and fast as possible.
1) you can only pick a player if he hasn't been picked already.
2) Make sure you are drafting in order! Wait until the person ahead of you has already drafted. If you draft out of order you will lose your spot and he to pick at the end.
3) ONLY write the name of the player you want. No extra-curricular posts or commentary as to why you drafted him or why you didn't pick someone else. This is to make it easy to tell who was just drafted and who is on the clock.
4) You have a max of 24 hours to draft your player. So check back often. BUT, if you are online PLEASE do not take the entire 24 hrs. Hopefully this entire draft can be done in 1 or 2 days.
5) For the dogs (1 mine and 2 Gantry's), while SUCKA's idea is very good, it just isn't realistic, so I wil draft a pitcher for Molly and Gantry will draft a pitcher for each of his dogs.
That's about it. Just follow the list of the draft and don't post anything except the player you want. Keep all other posts on another thread.
We will do the draft sometime this weekend and start the selection process on Sunday/Monday, since I know a lot of people don't check the site during the weekend. So make sure to check the site on Monday and see where you will be picking. We will announce when the draft will be for those that want to follow on the site live. Right now it is TBA, but most likely Saturday. Good luck to all.
The draft can start anytime now, so check back often. The official "start-time" isn't until Monday morning 8 a.m. Please follow the "rules" above and this should go smoothly. Go to the TALK ABOUT THE DRAFT thread for all other posts about the draft.
My selection will be Doyle Alexander
I just talked to Zorba and he picks the crafty lefty:
El Guillermo Hernandez (from Detroit)
Steve Bedrosian
Hey BeefMaster. Sorry, no All Stars.
Jason mentioned this only in the hitters section, but it was meant for all players. Please select another reliever again. It's just that all these forum topics are confusing as hell.
Thanks.
Sorry. I kind of guessed that might be the case, but I looked for that rule in Vitb6's "rules" post opening this thread and couldn't find it, and I didn't think to check the hitters thread.
Luckily, I had a backup pick ready. In lieu of Bedrock, I pick Juan Berenguer
Frosty chooses Don Robinson (SF). Who?!
Left to go...
5. Mollie (STARTING PITCHER)
6. Maddie (STARTING PITCHER)
7. NotURMasButArmas (RELIEF PITCHER)
8. MarquisEXB (STARTING PITCHER)
Molly picks ROGER CLEMENS
Umm time limit? Or am I missing the pitchers on another post?

You're up, man.
I was very tempted to go with my favorite RBI pitcher, Mike Scott. He threw 7IP of no hit ball for me once. But I'll have to represent for the Dah-Nahs & go with the best pitcher in the game, Dr. K, Dwight Gooden.
Next!
The pitching staffs are set...
Dee-Nee Player | RBI Identity |
Maddie | Don Sutton |
Molly | Roger Clemens |
Frosty | Don Robinson |
Zorba | Willie Hernandez |

Dah-Nah Player | RBI Identity |
bban7700 | Doyle Alexander |
MarquisEXB | Dwight Gooden |
BeefMaster | Juan Berenguer |
NotURMasButArmas | Donnie Moore |
The Dee-Nee's are gonna beat the shit out of the right-handed Dah-Nah lineup.
