Anyone else going to the ceremonies for Ryno. Im not a huge fan of his but my 2 buddies are and we are making the journey. Maybe if there are other RBI fans there we can get some games in while we are there. Im sure we will pack up a nintendo and RBI cartridge for the trip anyway. Let me know.
Maybe Ryno.
The main reason I wanted to post this is becuase here in good old Seymour, IN there isnt much RBI played. And I would really like to get some games in against some of the members of these forums. Very random spurts of good RBIing is all that I get. I was quite dissappointed after I was away from the forums for a while and I saw this National Tournament so close to my home. If I had more vacation time from the job I just got I would have tried to make it. And I know there are a coupel of other RBIers here that would love to have played.
Once I own this bank, it is going to sponsor the greatest RBI tourney in the history of the world.
Check this thread for Ryno's plan to attend the ceremony and meet up with some Dee-Neers. This could turn into a real shindig, baby.

close, but no cigar.
The august 27th game is just when the cubs will retire sandberg's number.
He's being inducted into the HOF on July 31.
I'm attending both.
Don't know my plans for cooperstown just yet.
Make reservations now. My wife went to school rear Cooperstown.... it's very tough to get a room in the area that time of year.
This is where we are staying....

I really couldnt tell you why this is where we are staying, Other than the fact that it looks SUPER awesome. Plus if all goes well.... we could be the first people ever to be killed by a bear or wolf or other ferocious forest beast while playing RBI Baseball.
I've been to that restaurant, but not the lodging. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at all. It's easily the worst place in town. :-\ But it's been 2 years, so maybe it has changed. The Neptune Diner down the street is a really great place.
Oneonta is a fairly big town. Better chance of getting hit by a car than mauled by wolf or bear...
If you're in Oneonta, keep an eye out for Tom Brookens....

all i know is i'm flying to albany, hopefully renting a car.
lodging is taken care of. 3 guys squeezed into a tiny hotel room that a friend of mine got for 80 bucks a night. I think it's a half hour from cooperstown.
I really don't give a shit about lodging. I'll sleep in the car or just out in the streets. I'm not particular.
just watch out for the guy in the black dodge
