Should we be surprised that you got #2 pick? :D
I'm kidding. I'm happy with #11. I've got about 13-15 players in mind, so I can't lose.
Also, do we have to have the same "handedness" as the player? On my list, I've got some righties on it even though I'm a southpaw.
You can thank Gantry for picking me #2. Dee-Nee. I mainly wrote the stuff on the internet while Gantry, Lips and my girlfriend picked out the hat. I picked a couple but mainly trying to keep on the forum.
Anyhoo, I think that we should keep the same "handedness" as the player that you pick. We should get all the same attributes as that player as far as speed and defense etc... Also, the line-ups where set awhile ago so whatever player you pick will bat in the order, or on the bench. No mixing around the lineup after you know who your "guy" is. So if someone is batting 1st, you maybe want to pick a contact or speed guy. It's up to you.
Well, that's a double-edged sword; that took out all but 6 of my picks, but since I think I'm the only lefty on the team, odds are my player will still be around. ;D

You and John Lockhart are finally tying the knot? Congrats.
I'm sorry dude, I couldn't help myself.
Yeah me a Johnny Boy go back a long way.
The word fiancee is like, really weird. Plus, I it is one of the dumbest sounding word. Fuck it...it's French....girlfriend will just have to do.
I swear...I was NOT drunk when I typed that last post out. what a mess that sentence was...
Gantry congrats... I am however a little hurt to find out that J. Lockhart has been two timing me... I guess that's why he seemed so distant lately... sigh...
I have a feeling this draft will take a long-ass time.
At least it gives me time to pick a good shitty player. There could be some gold-mines there around 24. Let's see. DThon, Grich, Whitaker. The choices are almost endless. Who knows? Maybe Lake will be around.

Yeah Gantry, congrats on the engagement.
When did the clock start?

Whoever is on the clock needs to step it up. As for the disparaging remarks about Whitaker, he better be there at 13 since he is my boy.
I wouldn't worry, Dove. Sweet Lou should be there at lucky 13.
As for me, I just did a little inventory of the top players people will take. I'd be lucky to get Lenny Dykstra. I have a feeling vgp will be the guy everyone subs out. Maybe Darrell Evans will still be on the board at 24.
Well, since the "pick the player with the same handedness as yourself" rule is in effect, and I'm a lefty, I think most of the players I want will be around. ;D ;D
my man vgp...although i may be letting the cat out of the bag....if brookens is at 24...take him...and shame on everyone else for not puttting him higher...
I'd love to take him--he even plays my position.
Vitb's pick:
QuoteMy selection will be REGGIE JACKSON (CALI)
Someone has a very high opinion of himself.
Holy crap. I thought the NFL draft took a long time. At this rate, we'll be here a month.
I did like Frosty's pick, though. Don is one hell of a hitting pitcher.
I just talked to Nick and he is making his selection within 30 minutes. He is going to call me back and I will post it for him. So after Nick goes it should go a little smoother and faster. If anyone knows where ERICDAVISFAN is (not sure if any of you know him) drop him a line and let him know the scoop. Otherwise he'll lose his spot on the roster and we'll replace him with a currently active poster.
Nick just picked so that means that Nightwulf is on the clock.
Dammit, you guys took Jackson and Evans. The way it's going, I'm gonna have to settle for a Steve Lake or someone like him. Geez. :(
Okay, I've got three guys left on my list. They'll probably be gone at #11, too. :-\
