surprise, no one cares jack about this league... am i shocked? no. disappointed? yes.
Well, I posted yesterday, but apparently it didnt get up. I just basically said that once all, or a good portion of the games were in, we could move on. My guess is that this idea of a league, for what ever reason, is not going to work. At least not during the summer. Too much to do for people, I do have a couple guys that would like in, so maybe ill get some replacements for dead beat owners, not to mention, everyone was supposed to play TWO games.

I see you guys are having trouble getting the league off the ground. Just thought I'd let you know I'll be ready to play as soon as I get the nod. I'm currently sitting #2 on the waitng list.
i am totally into this league...it just sucks that it hasnt worked out so far....but im still in, so factor me into any plans in the future.....
if the people in this league were online once in a blue moon it might actually work
Can someone tell this clown to stop AIMing me. I told Chet I was out of the league a while ago, and this guy gets online, gets my away message (so he knows I'm not there), then insults me. An away message means I'm not at the computer.
Also I'd like to note that I wouldn't be bothered if this guy read the rules correctly the first time. The day we played our first game I said we had to play two games. He left Nesticle to check the web page and said "nope we only have to play one game."

This league didn't get off the ground again and I'll probably be removing this board shortly. Hopefully we can get a league started again, but I'm starting to think that it'll only happen if I'm the person organizing it. And I'm too lazy for that right now...
Here's a question: is anyone playing anyone on line right now, league or no league? Maybe the trick to starting this thing is to screw keeping track of standings and stats to start and get people playing first. Once people get to know each other thru playing each other on line, then formalizing things would be easier. Just a question.
Another question: how does one go about getting all the stuff to play RBI on your computer/online again? My old computer played RBI with FCE Ultra and Nesticle easily, but my new computer won't do a damn thing. Technology for you.

I don't know how to do it well enough to explain it. We attempted this league about 5 months ago but the problem was scheduling. You can make all the schedules you want but if people can't hook up to play their games it ain't happening. Besides, my opinion is that playing online ain't the same as easy chair to easy chair.
True enough. I remember FCE being much better to play on the computer with than Testicle, which was super-choppy. The thing is, with my old computer all I had to do was click and drag the RBI rom icon onto the emulator icon and I was rolling. With this new 'puter of mine, it does everything but want to play RBI for me, which fucking sucks. It's why I got it in the first place, man . . . it won't read the types of files (tan? and nes) both the emulator and the rom are. I d'know, I'll figure it out eventually I hope. 'Gotta play the predictable computer at least.
