Boone did some silly things. I think he pissed off much of the pitching staff. Although, Griffey wasn't his fault, the GM was canned mostly because of that. (and the fact that they haven't been to the playoffs in almost 10 years)
I know he took a lot of flak for putting Adam Dunn at leadoff, because Dunn is a power-hitter. He did it because he noticed that the AL All Stars are unbeatable when McGuire pinch hits for Randolf in the 1st inning. A sound strategy in my book.
Don't forget subbing Tony Armas on the Sox. A home run- EVERYTIME. The greatest pinh hitter of all time.
