Title: Don Sutton level
Post by: Dryden on 07/27/05, 05:41:01 PM
In honor of my 1100th post, I thought I'd quote Mr. Sutton himself, quoted today talking about Greg Maddux:

"He is everything I wanted to be, but wasn't," said Sutton, a Hall of Famer, a 324-game winner and a member of the 3,000-strikeout club. "He has more natural movement than anyone I've ever seen. And he is one of smartest pitchers who has ever lived."

What does this have to do with anything, you ask?

Jokingly, I have no fucking idea.

However, Moe Jorgan would like to point out that Greg Maddux hasn't even close to the second baseman that he was.

Like I said, he would like to point that out. Except he keeps calling him "Mike" Maddux by mistake.
